reading the CBA a little closer has me less concerned with schedule density going into next season. even with the added 6 games, with no 3-week FIBA break and an additional 3 weeks allotted to the RS+PS deadline (10/31 → 11/21), you have 6 more weeks to deal with 6 more games?

additionally, of the two major international tournaments that tend to disrupt the W schedule, the one with the more choppy fit of the two, the World Cup, will now occur exclusively after the regular and post-season (starts November 25th in 2030), so that’d be even less conflict.

HOWEVER, big but, this expanded season footprint will result in even more overlap with the NBA schedule, which will unfortunately probably result in similar scheduling conflicts to what we’ve seen in the Finals this season. I think it’s still an overwhelming net positive, though.

wnba fans knee jerk reaction to attribute the many issues in the WNBA to solely external scapegoats needs to die dead.

Hawks would rather their regular season game be played on time than to to let the Dream get primetime even when they can win a WNBA championship. Women's sports continues to be disrespected and the NBAs conflict of interest still hovers like a stink cloud. What else is new? 🫤
