I'm joining @OpenAI at the end of the month, and I can't wait to get started! I'll be working on everything related to Codex, bringing what I learned building Codex Monitor, and working with the developer experience team with @romainhuet!

I'm working on the iPhone Duo more and more every day. So, I've started collecting some of my favorite productivity apps for the Duo. There are some gems in here: macstories.net/roundups/my-f…

That's a wrap on DevDay Exchange EMEA 🫡 The past couple of weeks were a bit crazy - after DevDay in SF, we wanted to take the event on the road and connect with local communities across Europe. It's been amazing to meet everyone and see so many of you show up in Berlin, Paris and London! Most importantly, I loved hearing all of your feedback and we'll make sure to bring it back to our product teams. Special shout-out to my co-speakers: @benedictk__ in Berlin, @papay0 in Paris and @JonathanAbrams (the father of Sites!!) in London. And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to make these events incredible: the events team, @JuhanaPeltomaa & @reach_vb 🐐 & so many others!

Go big.

And care. A lot of human care.
hot take: you don't need a software factory, and i don't love the term. it's just marketing all you need is good software engineering and investing your tokens in the right places. the more deterministic the better (and token efficient)

I find the “patch the planet” initiative quite inspiring. openai and others are spending huge sums of money on updating and securing all modern open source software infrastructure. it will be a continual effort to make the world more robust
This is the "upcoming cyber model" from yesterday. Besides 948 Linux vulns, it found 111 renderer RCEs in Firefox, among which, 81 were novel. 30 were exploits for bugs known to developers that were thought to be unexploitable. We are using this technology to scan more OSS projects and secure the Internet infrastructure. This is just a start.

In iOS 27.3 Beta 2, some US users report progressive blur is again present in app headings. Notably, it has a noticeable blue>pink>white sheen.

Introducing GPT‑6 Cyber: a major advance in security research that pairs stronger capabilities with better model alignment. The model powered the Linux kernel research we announced yesterday, and security teams at companies like Mozilla, Palo Alto Networks, Calif, and Cisco—alongside our own at OpenAI—are already putting it to work. GPT-6 Cyber is available to select Daybreak Red customers and we are expanding access over time. openai.com/index/introducing…

New image models are out!
Today, we’re bringing GPT-Image-2.6 to Codex and the API. Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst, our two new API image models, generate images 50% faster than before. At medium or high quality, Sunburst keeps details more consistent from one edit to the next.
