Fan conduct such as this is not subject to the rules and penalizing a team 15-yards is not authorized under NCAA Football rules. The Big XII cannot make up their own in-game rules.
News: The Big 12 has fined UCF $100,000 for anti-LDS chants during the BYU game. The conference has also updated its policy on discriminatory conduct, including: "A second confirmed incident during the same game will result in an in-game competitive penalty."

Obviously the question is no longer if playing football makes you very dangerously likely to have CTE/brain damage. The question is “should you be cognitively dissonant about it?” and I think you should
396 deceased NFL players examined from 2008-2023. 93.5 percent had CTE.

Players more or less know about this risk and accept it. Fans still want to keep watching football. Hopefully people are informed about the choice to just play flag football. Maybe someday we’ll develop the ability to reverse or prevent the damage, idk

This makes up for when Ian Seymour failed to win the last game of the 2025 regular season against the Blue Jays and denied the Yankees a first round bye

A liberal third-party group goes up in Mississippi with what I’m told is a real buy — attacking Cindy Hyde-Smith from the right via her primary opponent.

Netanyahu’s bloc did not have a majority in a non-14/Direct poll since early 2023 and got no appreciable bump from the Iran war
I'm very surprised that there's so little discussion of the fact that Netanyahu's bloc has ~zero chance of getting a majority in the elections on Tuesday.

Was this his inspiration for the logo?
Brad Bradford emerges with his wife, mother and one of his daughters. He wishes Chow well and says he wants her to succeed. “We all love this city. We know it can be better.” He urges the crowd to give her a round of applause.

It’s over: Mayor Olivia Chow will be re-elected in Toronto over challenger Brad Bradford. A 13 point drubbing, a majority for the Mayor, and a continuation of politics.

Lula pulled off a political comeback that Nixon would never even dream of: he went from being in prison to being elected president in less than 3 years

Update on the Brazilian election: I personally am convinced that Lula will win the election. My own projection is barely even moving as more results come in, with Lula steadily being projected to win about 51.7% of the vote.

Regardless of who wins in Brazil it does seem like the left shouldn’t have nominated an 80 year old and the right shouldn’t have nominated the son of the guy who lost last time and went to jail

(I would’ve voted Lula ofc) Lula should maybe also pledge to step down after a couple years and let his VP take over if he wins
