Southern Railway has announced four pairs of intra-zone Express Special trains to manage the additional passenger rush during the 2026–27 Sabarimala pilgrimage season. The services will connect Chennai with Kollam, covering several important stations across Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

• 06117/06118 and 06121/06122: 22 coaches, including First AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper and SLR.
• 06119/06120: 16 AC 3-Tier Economy coaches and 2 luggage-cum-brake vans.
• 06083/06084: 24 coaches, including AC 3-Tier, Sleeper, General and SLRD coaches.
The additional services are intended to facilitate the movement of Ayyappa devotees and provide enhanced rail connectivity during the Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season.
Passengers are advised to check the official railway reservation systems for ticket availability and detailed schedules.
