The mistake is thinking these tariffs mainly hurt Canada. They don't. Much of the cost ends up here at home, in the prices American households and businesses pay.

Ideally we would have the marketing budget of Mary's Brown Chicken. If we did, everyone in Canada would know the truth by now - which is that Sprague really is making the best in the market.
However, we aren't backed by any venture capital so we have no real marketing spend. Canning is low margin and what margin we do have we reinvest into the products themselves so they are actually good.
Because of this Sprague products are still an open secret that most of Canada hasn't discovered yet. But word is spreading day by day, and the tide is turning - we are going to take our grocery shelves back.
I cannot thank you early supporters enough for the love and spreading the word. This is just the beginning - we are going to win!

"I used to by Bush Beans, which I thought were really good. One day, I was shopping in Giant Tiger, and came across Sprague Beans. I though I'd give them a try. They were even better than Bush Beans. I did this before there was any talk of tension between the U.S., and Canada, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that Sprague is located in Belleville (where I live), and not Tennesee (were Bush is located). Now, with all this trouble between the two nations, you have my full support, and I am telling everybody I know about Sprague. I hope you guys do very well.....not just because you're Canadian, but because your product is so good. Take care, and all the best."

The stock market is down but at least everything is more expensive and services are getting shittier. On the other hand we have more measles. To be fair, they are finally delivering the reductions in FAA and National Parks staff that people have been demanding.
