We welcome the reopening of Harrow Crown Court after nearly three years. As our Chair, @Kirsty_Brimelow said: "Focus should be on opening courts with sufficient staff... instead of draining resources into cutting jury trials which is the only part of the system that is still working.โ€ Claire Davies KC, criminal silk and Leader of @SECircuit, said: "Its 8 courtrooms will once again be in service to help tackle court backlogs. It is with sadness that we learnt today of the death of our colleague, Lord Clarke of Stone-cum-Ebony. Lord Clarke was a Justice of the UKSC from its opening in 2009 until 2017. He was an excellent colleague & the kindest of men. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
