The 3-day window can be an additional barrier for people with physical disabilities or those with mobility issues. #RepealReview

Having to make multiple visits to a doctor in a short time-frame can be an exhausting experience for many people, especially for individuals who live in rural areas where transport networks are less accessible and journeys can be significantly longer and arduous. #RepealReview

If a PWD has a Carer, the 3 day window can infringe upon the PWD's privacy if they need help with transport. Telemedicine has been beneficial to PWD throughout Covid. This needs to continue after the pandemic subsides this#RepealReview
irishtatler.com/motion-backe… I have submitted a motion to Cork County Council via my #socdems colleague @CllrJuneMurphy to introduce bye-laws for #exclusion zones. The motion will be heard on March 11 at the full Council meeting. @Lawyers4Choice

Just received word that someone in Holles St Hospital gave personal information of a woman who had a medical abortion to the fake my options 089 number. Just when you think they couldn't stoop any lower! The Guards aren't doing anything about it 😡

It's been weeks and not even a response from @SimonHarrisTD office acknowledging our email. We requested a meeting to discuss the issues with the legislation for people with disabilities. The radio silence speaks volumes. Sure we're only 7% of the population so, who cares?

Deaf and Hard of Hearing people are being left behind! There are no alternative contact details for the helpline without the assistance of the ITRS or a family member or friend to ring on their behalf. Once again, Deaf/HH people have no right to privacy! #NoOneLeftBehind
Abortion is now legal and available in Ireland. "The My Options freephone helpline (1800 828 010) is provided by the HSE and will be staffed by trained professional counsellors from 9am on January 1st." #FreeSafeLegalLocal #nooneleftbehind irishtimes.com/news/ireland/…

We have emailed @SimonHarrisTD and have asked for him to meet with us so we can discuss the issues PWD have with info and access to abortion. Our issues were not addressed despite a 27-page document being sent to the Dept of Health in October. #legisl8
Replying to @HSELive
@HSELive @SimonHarrisTD why is there no access or alternative contact details for this helpline for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people? Absolutely disgraceful and I call on you to rectify this ASAP so that Deaf/HH women can have equal access #legisl8 #DeafTFY www2.hse.ie/conditions/abort…

So my options helpline will be live in January. However, there's no mention anywhere of a text service for the deaf or hard of hearing. Just another example of how our Government have forgotten people with disabilities when it comes to providing access to info and services.

This is not what we fought for @SimonHarrisTD
Today, we are outraged Simon Harris led the public to believe the wait would be 3 days, when it's actually 4. This becomes longer when you factor in weekends, appointment availability etc. We did not vote for this in May. Time to #RepealTheWait #legisl8 thetimes.co.uk/article/abort…

Women in a crisis pregnancy who need to ring the new 24/7 hour helpline are to be told explicitly that abortion is an option. The number is 1800 828 010 and will go live on January 1st 2019 #legisl8 #wecantwait independent.ie/irish-news/he…

The Bill has passed in the Seanad! It is far from perfect and we are still deeply concerned about how PWD will be affected but, it is a start. Just have to get Miggeldy to sign it into law now! Huge congratulations to everybody who made this happen! #legisl8 #repealedthe8th
