We had a very special Governor meeting this evening. We unveiled our memorial bench for our late Governor, neighbour and friend, Stan. For many years, Stan joined the boys daily in our dinner hall to have lunch. He told them tales of being a pilot in the war. He was so loved π.

Recently, out of the blue I got a call from @DKMS_uk - the charity that helps people with blood cancer. I'd forgotten that 5yrs ago I did a cheek swab... but the call was to say I was a possible match for someone in urgent need of stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
It's a chance to help someone survive who wouldn't otherwise. Unfortunately, having just been through the next stage, I've been ruled out of donating.
So to turn that into a positive, I wanted to suggest if you fancy registering to be a donor, if age 18 - 55 you can do it here... dkms.org.uk - and hopefully one of you may be the match that actually saves a life.
