Good, fuck ‘em. The federal gov’t should buy their land out of bankruptcy & offer it for free in 10 acre chunks to anyone willing to complete an agroecology training program
Andy Beshear: I've got soybean farmers. 100% of them voted for Trump. They lost their first client in USAID. Linda McMahon canceled the farm-to-cafeteria program. Trump's tariff pushed China away. All of your farm machinery runs on diesel. And finally, a third of the world's fertilizer passes through the Strait of Hormuz. They are on the verge of declaring bankruptcy.

Why have I bought into the Muskonomy? This is why. At 9pm on a Friday night I got in my wife’s car to pick up her Target order. I made it one house down before the car started throwing flat tire warnings. I pulled over and sure enough. It was flat. I very slowly drove it right back into our driveway, hopped out, and filed a claim through the Tesla app with my Tesla insurance. Within minutes a tow truck was dispatched to pick the car up and take it to the nearest Tesla service center. Since they’re open Saturday’s, the car will be ready for pickup tomorrow with a repaired or new tire. On any other car this would be a nightmare. Trying to find a tire shop over Saturday and Sunday, make sure my tire is in stock, pay a towing company to come get it… it would consume the weekend. Not with my @tesla though. A few taps of the screen and all I have to do it pick it up at the end. Wow.
Figured I’d show off this Purple-Spored Puffball in its natural habitat for #FungiFriday
These beauties are hard to miss in the open, grassy spots they like to pop up in, & they’re fairly simple to ID due to their size & colors. Tasty as a mug, too! #dirtmagic

The season is really just beginning for these, they love it when the temps get cold at night
And they are everywhere right now 💚

This is not "keeping politics out of music." If he wanted to do that he just would have played the show and not said anything. This is a political message designed to suppress a certain kind of speech he disagrees with.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently called out artists who turn their concerts into political rallies, saying:
“Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their BULLSH*T.”
Do you agree with James? Should musicians keep politics out of concerts, or should artists use the stage to speak about what they believe in?
Let’s debate. What do you think?

This is due in no small part to the CIA-backed anticommunist Iowa Writers Workshop-style of bourgeois navel gazing that has come to totally dominate contemporary fiction. It’s just one narcissistic personal drama after another
With her lonely stand for Palestine, Sally Rooney has exposed the contemporary literary world as a nest of cowards and careerists
Where are all the Doris Lessings, Harold Pinters, John Bergers, Graham Greenes, Samuel Becketts that once raised their voices against war and injustice?
Rooney stands almost alone
We’ve got a few of these Winged Sumacs here at the new place but they ain’t happy. Too much shade & no males/females close by, I reckon. But if ye set em up right, they’re definitely worth having around for the tasty, late-season berries & nice fall colors #dirtmagic

Okra is just an absurdly beautiful plant, even if it weren't delicious to eat I imagine we'd grow it for its blooms and foliage alone
