To all student-athletes:
The coach who gets on you, challenges you, and holds you accountable? That’s the coach you want to play for.
One day, you’ll look back and say, “Thank you.”
That coach isn’t just trying to make you a better player. They’re helping you become a better person, husband, father, leader, and teammate.
The coach who lets everything slide may feel easier in the moment - but easy doesn’t prepare you for the future.
Accountability isn’t punishment. It’s an investment in who you’re becoming.

You know what I remember most from my years of coaching?
It’s not the wins. It’s the people I got to share them with.
The players who stuck with you. And the ones you stuck with.
Tom Izzo nailed it. 🔥
“That’s the joy I get out of coaching.”

How do coaches determine playing time?
Pretty simple.

State champion head coach Kyle Clough is a hot name on the coaching circuit right now, but his success has been long-term. He's built a powerhouse at Rockford HS that is a remarkable 96-23 over the past five seasons. He'll speak this year on "Daily defensive vitamins - drills to build your defense" at the clinic. Gotta get something off my chest. Young players stop “glazing” dudes you gotta beat to win what you want. It’s cool to be friends to a certain extent but man! Healthy respect is ok but rivalries are good. It brings out the best in us. That’s the end of my TED Talk

Draymond responds to Austin Rivers 👀
“Austin, you and I averaged the same amount of points in high school and I say high school cause that's when you were at your best. Should he really talk about my NBA career? The guy received the biggest bailout in US history prior to President Trump bailing out the airlines when his dad gave him 42 million dollars.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Draymond Green and Austin Rivers did not average the same points in high school; Green averaged 20 ppg as a senior while Rivers averaged 28.8 ppg that year. Rivers signed a 3-year, $35M contract with the Clippers, not $42M directly from his father. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draymond_… maxpreps.com/fl/winter-park… espn.com/nba/story/_/id…
