To put this figure into perspective, and to get ahead of the 'it's a cup game' comments, their northern co-part Newcastle are set to bring 8,000 fans down the country tonight to Everton to watch their team play in the same round of the exact same cup..
For a club that gets a lot of stick for their poor fanbase over the past few years, they really do absolutely nothing to help themselves... 🤦🏼♂️

What an utterly ridiculous argument.
Sunderland is full. Let me make that absolutely clear.
We have residents struggling to get NHS dental appointments, families desperate for suitable housing, pressure on GP services, school admissions and social care, and you think a few empty shops on the high street somehow mean we have unlimited capacity?
You cannot house a family in an empty shop. You cannot get a dental appointment in a boarded-up retail unit. And you cannot simply conjure up additional public services.
I’m not interested in lectures about how much more Sunderland should accommodate from people who conveniently ignore the pressures our existing residents face.
My duty is to the people of Sunderland, not the Home Office.

The evidence they’re talking about doesn’t exist. If it did they’d have presented it already. An appeal doesn’t allow you to enter new evidence you’ve known about all along (as I understand). Just rich men doing what they want and crying when they get caught breaking rules.
