The <View/> component is the most fundamental building block for React Native UI. It's the <div/> of native development.
We can style it, do some (limited) touch handling and have accessibility controls.
Views can have children of any type or no children at all.

Styling in React Native has lots in common with styling in React but they aren't exactly the same!
What's the same? The CSS properties are (mostly) the same and we camelCase any multiword property.
We use the style property to pass in individual properties.

Almost every code example I see for React Native uses class components - I've only ever used functional components.
Am I missing something? I find functional components + hooks to be a much cleaner approach.
