Me: Okay weāre the first people to go to the new Dolly Parton museum so I ofc need big hair, bling and rhinestones.
They: ā¦as opposed to all the other days???
Me: I feel attacked š
Seriously tho, the SongTeller Hotel and new Dolly museum are a must-see in Nashvilleā¦.she micromanaged every detail herself. Itās a masterclass in how to do immersive storytellingā¦a skill we ALL could benefit to learn! š
Hello #MySummitNA!
No Leon and I are DEFINITELY not changing our demo around the last minute š
Come and join us in this morningās keynote to learn how we work together as HUMANS in this latest drama, err inflection point when Agents can AND DO create almost anything!
See you soon! š
Oh hi Nashville!
We are HERE and we are ready to remix up your work life a little bit!
At #SummitNA this week we are talking about lots of 3s.
Three BIG changes going on in the tech industry (Agents as āco-workers/personal assistants, Agents as customers (yikes!) and how the return to human-to human is showing up everywhere from sales to hiring!)
We are ALSO debuting our new framework to help you form your teams for future-looking work. Three new players from your existing employees will be something like:
1. The Tech Stalker
2. The Pop-up Lead
3. The Growth Guru
And we have RECEIPTS of how weāve seen this work in our own orgs!
Join us all week at Dynamic Communities shindig at Opryland and holler what youāre excited to learn about this week! šš¼
Guys, letās all agree weāre not doing the stupid Super Intelligence re-name thing.
Heāll forget about it by next week.
Iām a lifelong journaler. I have probably 200 journals around my house from the last 30ish years.
I write to think. I write to communicate. I write to understand how I feel about things.
Handing over writing to AI to me feels like handing over my brain, my heart and my presence.
I loved this article šš¼
I LITERALLY PREDICTED THIS IN MY ARTICLE.
> Tech companies NEED creatives
> These creatives are hybrid roles
> THE TOP SKILL IS WRITING
> High demand, low supply
When thereās too much of one (tech), the pendulum always swings back (creative).
(For the record, I wrote this article over a month ago, but the convo around the creative roles in tech has been buzzing this week)
Not to be overly practical but if someone wants a spouse who can do this, they should marry an event organizer.
This kind of thing happens to us ALL the time, a surprise 50 extra people roll onto our event at 11 am. Ofc we know how to get a pizza order going to land by noon.
Like every teenage party organizer knows this?
My wife is very competent at her job of managing our home. That competence brings an incredible amount of peace and joy to our household.
If I come home at 5:00 PM and tell her
āWe have 30 people coming over at 6:00 PM. We need to feed them,ā
She doesnāt panic or get mad. She immediately starts thinking about what she can make, in that short amount of time, to feed 30 people.
She keeps the fridge stocked with soda and beer for guests. She makes sure the humidor is stocked with cigars. She keeps plenty of ice on hand. She always has groceries to bust out a bunch of tacos or homemade pizza for crowds
She even goes so far as to think "I know that this guest has an older Iphone, let me get a charger for his phone set up." Or "This guest has a gluten allergy, so let me make a special pizza for him."
It is a tremendous blessing to me, and to our guests. I can't tell you how often people stop me to tell me how amazing it is receive her hospitality
Men who are competent at their work make the world.
Women who are competent at their work make the world enjoyable.
Theatrical arm-waving at #AITrustForum aside, the three topics that are top of mind for me RIGHT NOW given the latest inflection point are:
1. Having Agents report to you in the address book. My team has these now and itās hilarious/amazing/strange to experience it in real time. Thank you for letting me share my teamās business!
2. Having Agents as customers! Soon every business will need to consider what the journey looks like when Agents find and procure your product or service. Are we ready? No we are not! I talked about our teamās SCOPE project!
3. When Agents are doing so much back office work, what are we doing next? Being EXTRA human, thatās what. I shared my Human-Context Protocol framework for how we stay RELEVANT.
Lots of homework all around and you all gave me lots to think about.
Thank you! š
In today's shenanigans, I am doing the opening keynote for the 6th annual TeamsDagen in Stockholm, Sweden! Over 600 of my favorite Microsoft 365 friends in one room? Yes, thank you! šÆ
Today's keynote is called Dude...Where's My Career?! and we are talking about what's the latest in AI this week (Personal. Proactive. AI. Agents), who all is in the game, what it means for enterprises (hint: governance!) etc.
Then we'll get into the heart of the topic that has everyone anxious these days: Job Security! I will introduce my brand-new P.R.E.P framework where everyone will forget about future-PROOFING their jobs and instead focus on Future PREPPING themselves for 2030 and beyond!
Everyone will leave with a plan and a community to keep them accountable.
If you're coming, see you soon š event.teamsdagen.se/
Tech bros are so strange.
I was sitting in a wine bar in Lecce in August with a beautiful glass of Primitivo rosƩ. It was a perfect starry night. Some lovely music was playing over the speaker but it was very same-soundey. I Shazammed it (cuz I old) and guess what? It was an AI artist. This made me so incredibly SAD because I would never be able to see this person live.
On the other land, every live music arena is packed to the rafters and ticket sales are at an all time high (even like Weezer!) ā¦so yeah I think the death of āhuman musical artistsā has been grossly over-exaggerated.
Goodness this šš¼itās so important to build this for yourself and not try to escape an ordinary day to day with work or travel, etc.
I think people underestimate how much of a luxury it is to genuinely like your normal life. Not the holiday. Not your birthday. Not the big night out or the reservation youāve been looking forward to for weeks. Just your usual routine. Getting coffee, going to work, coming home, making dinner, sitting in your own space and actually feeling content with the life youāre living. Thereās something beautiful about not needing an escape from your everyday life to feel happy. A good life isnāt just the extraordinary moments. Itās being able to wake up on an ordinary weekday and genuinely like the life waiting for you.
I could use some advice from you folks:
As many of you know, I am constantly in experiment mode. From these experiments come little frameworks with memorable, punny names and dramatic hand gestures like #DoTheThing, Imposter Syndrome Banishing Spell etc. I recently did another for AI. Nothing to do with Microsoft ofc.
Recently I learned that a company has repurposed my framework and are using it for their customers and to get leads. It would have been nice if theyād asked for permission or even given credit.
Now Iām supposed to speak at a conference organized by this company where they will be talking about my thing as their own. They are claiming āwe created this thing togetherā which is a choice because my style is pretty unique in tech.
What should I do? I donāt want to bail out because thatās irresponsible to the audience but it feels sucky.
I definitely donāt want to do the keynote as anything original anymore.
Thoughts? Whoās been here before?
Okay friends, there were A LOT of Copilot-ey words dropped yesterday, so here is my extremely unofficial summary while I revamp the #FlyWithCopilot content!
š HOME = Copilot Chat + Cowork finally move in together.
Chat for āhelp me with the thing.ā
Cowork for āplease DO The Thing.ā
Plus Word, Excel + PowerPoint now live right there too. Yay roomies!
āļø AUTOPILOT = Scout got a glow-up.
This is the autonomous-ish thing a posse of us have already been playing with: give it a role + goal and it keeps working even when you go do have a life.
š» CODE = vibe coding for everybody.
Vaguely explain the app, dashboard, automation, etc. you want and Copilot builds it. Same underlying as GitHub Copilot, but you donāt have to identify as An AI Enginner or whatever to use it. This is for ALL builders!
š COPILOT MANAGED RUNTIME = cool story bro, you vibe-coded an appā¦WHERE DOES IT LIVE THO?!
Here! Governed hosting for the stuff you build with Code, Cowork and Copilot Studio.
š§ MICROSOFT IQ family of wisdom = the context underneath the magic.
Copilot understands your data, your company data and most importantly, whatās RELEVANT vs your emails from 2005.
āļø TODAY = āwhat the heck happened while I was having a life?ā
Mail + meetings + Teams + stuff + people yelling + actual suggested actions. Basically the morning briefing we need before the chaos goblin takes over your day!
šÆ @COPILOT IN TEAMS = Copilot has entered the chat!
And importantly, it gets the shared context of the team instead of everybody having their own little AI thing. This is going to be AMAZING to for scheming meetings with your colleagues!
Our team will try out all of these and expect all kinds of fun content from us soooon.
What should we try first? šš¼
See this is why I didnāt want to come back from Rome
1. Why does everyone have āAI personal assistantsā to do fun things like plan dates now. No youāre not that busy nor do you have that many dates.
2. What is a Corgii girl (Iām NOT looking that up!)
In a world where almost any idea can be AI-generated into something kind of mid on a screen...one of the last bastions of truly unique and awesome is...HUMAN PERFORMANCE! šÆ
For Fly With Copilot Redmond last week, we wanted to explain the parts of Copilot and friends to the audience but we didn't want to do it with yet another generic corporate branded slide deck with new logos that everyone would promptly forget.
Instead we did a IRL skit where each member of our posse played a role in doing something kind of meta: bringing a 50 city event to the world!
The stars of the show were:
1. M365 Copilot out of the box to make a plan
2. Work IQ to make it useful at work and pull your biz data
3. SharePoint to host so much of the org's data
4. Copilot Cowork to make Copilot actually DO stuff
5. Scout to run in the background and bring us interesting news and updates
6. Agent and Skill Builder to make this whole extravaganza into something repeatable
7. Copilot Studio to make this Agent usable with lots of external data sources, be used by external people and be hosted in more places
8. GitHub Copilot App to make artifacts like the website in record time
9. And of course Agent 365 to govern all these new agents we suddenly have created
The scenario and prompt got passed from product to product and improved with each piece of functionality till finally we had our event ready to launch!
People learn more when they learn from others and they learn more when they laugh. I'm hopeful both happened.
If you want to see this extravaganza for yourself, join us at Fly With Copilot - Prague edition, come see us at the Microsoft office on Friday Sept 25th!

Till then, #StayExtraHuman! āļø
Absolutely!
And itās even better post 40 because by now you know what you need and want in a relationship.
So whey you find itā¦magic! š
Can you still fall madly in love at 40?
Not the calm, sensible, "we have our lives together" kind.
I mean the real chaos.
The butterflies.
The stupid smile you can't hide.
Checking your phone every 5 minutes.
Replaying conversations in your head.
Missing someone at 2 a.m. for no reason at all.
The kind of love that makes you feel 17 again, even when your back reminds you that you're definitely not.
People talk about maturity as if it replaces excitement.
But does it?
Can your heart still completely ignore your age and act like a reckless teenager?
For those who are 40+:
Does that kind of love still happen, or does love feel different as you get older?
I would šÆ be the kind to randomly bring this kitty home and he confused when it started acting wild.
āHe must also hate meetings, etcā š
