gSapling! a few people asked me about that new "zero-knowledge privacy layer for solana," and honestly its valuation looks wildly inflated to me. it's not right for people with no understanding of the tech blindly following green candles, and it's not right for the teams who've been heads down building real things for weeks. us included.
here's my honest take, and you can verify every bit of it yourself. don't take my word.
@solana is a public ledger by design. you can bolt a mixer on top, shield into a pool, hope the crowd is big enough to hide in. it's clever work. it's also a patch on a chain that was never built for it.
the chain that's actually private already exists. it's @Zcash. shielded by default, a real anonymity set built over years, no bolt-on.
so the real question was never "how do we hide solana." it's "how do you bring solana's liquidity to the place that's already private."
that's the whole reason i'm building @saplingdotcash, the first fully zcash-native launchpad, where people trade straight from their zcash wallets.

STONK 18 Day rev = 0.5M, FDV = 11M
Sapling looks cheap at the same age. It brings in about 1/3 of STONK’s fees but trades at about 1/7 of its market cap. Valued the way STONK was at day 18, Sapling would be about $6–8M.
I have personally interacted with the community and it genuinely reminds me of early Stonk members, no reason it should be this undervalued.
As well, all of this ignores the upcoming Sapling terminal @SaplingTerminal, which I think is a complete game changer in terms of how much volume and revenue it can bring.
Imagine if zcash:native whales want to have fun with their gains and trade memecoins like all of us (but in privacy) :)
