I genuinely can't see why anyone would be upset about it! We're all inspired by something, and that's never more on the nose than in fanfiction. It's in the name. Knowing someone was inspired by something I wrote to create their own story is just really cool, and makes me happy.

I thought about it! But I ended up realising it would be a hard thing to write, and probably harder to read. Katsuki was in such a dark place and intoxicated much of the time, in a way I feel it's better that we only see Izuku's impression of how things are at the start.

DEADICATION works, I think, because it's told through Izuku's eyes. He drags Katsuki, and the reader, through the ceaseless traumas of the world, and I think the story told through Katsuki before he fell in love would just be very sad, you know?
