C# 12 primary constructors reduce boilerplate when capturing dependencies.
Prefer when:
✅ Constructor only captures dependencies/config
✅ No complex initialization
Avoid when:
✅ Validation or non-trivial initialization is needed

Somehow missed that the new @Outlook app doesn't even work when you're offline. Like AT ALL. How is this acceptable?

the complexity of building a new web browser from scratch

ALT The total word count of the W3C specification catalogue is 114 million words at the time of writing. If you added the combined word counts of the C11, C++17, UEFI, USB 3.2, and POSIX specifications, all 8,754 published RFCs, and the combined word counts of everything on Wikipedia’s list of longest novels, you would be 12 million words short of the W3C specifications. I conclude that it is impossible to build a new web browser. The complexity of the web is obscene. The creation of a new web browser would be comparable in effort to the Apollo program or the Manhattan project. It is impossible to: Implement the web correctly Implement the web securely Implement the web at all

So just this week I learned:
1. Chrome is “data mining” user’s browsing history.
2. Microsoft internal systems got hacked for like two years long.
3. iPhone users got hacked by zero-click zero-day exploit, again.
4. Someone is hacking security researchers with GitHub tools.

Dear .NET community as a whole,
We've exceeded our budget and we have enough dlls.
Please use an existing assembly to contain that single type you just created instead of File -> New Project.
Thanks

Conforming to their API and implied behavior. It’s been a PITA. They build in assumptions about behavior that isn’t necessarily obvious from the APIs

Dude, I've done this a lot longer than you have, and I've had to support all the weird IoC adapters that every old framework had. You're right on the face of it, but I still very much resent the power that you have over the rest of us.

Hard agree. I sometimes wonder if the endgame all along has been to own every aspect of the framework internally. Started with replacing Json.NET and just goes from there.
