Spent all day yesterday on this new code. Building connectivity discovery sub-tool for devices and ai.

Seems that AI is capable more than speed tests and really excited about how to use Google Earth and Places for wireless and broadband access intelligence and enablement.
Have some really cool stuff I want to do with this in the future. Free to clone and collaborate with me #TelcoTech and #Telecom and #FULLMVNO crowd out there.

Canada can have better #wireless service for seniors, youth, newcomers, for $1 day or less, immediately and nationwide. True MVNOs and real service #competition can deliver that.

Today is the last business day that the federal cabinet has to rule on a petition to change the thoroughly uncompetitive wireless market in Canada. A 🧵! 1/12

.@cnoconline continues to call on Cabinet to reverse the anti-competitive spring 2021 #CRTC decisions which chose to not implement the 2019 evidence-based wholesale rates and to limit competitor access to the wireless networks. Stronger competition would only benefit Canadians.

We challenged the #CRTC and their 2006 ways! But we are far from alone supporting more open access to great Canadian wireless networks. The @cnoconline @CanadaPIAC and @TekSavvyBuzz are on the same page. Now @Mintmobile and many others.

If ur nerdy like me🤓, the fine folks at @dotmobileapp laid out exactly how it should work here: ic.gc.ca/eic/site/smt-gst.ns… The gov't could adopt these changes the moment it reconvenes.

Minister @FP_Champagne could listen to the calls from an enormous amount of people in Canada to make it easier for competitive mobile companies like @dotmobileapp and Mint to launch here, but will he?

My thread on the Liberal election platform: lots on regulating the Internet, nothing on ensuring access is affordable nitter.gq/mgeist/status/14330783…
The Liberal election platform is out. Main digital policy takeaways from a quick read:
1️⃣moving ahead with C-10, C-36, online harms, news payments
2️⃣copyright exception for right to repair
3️⃣privacy reform
4️⃣nothing on wireless costs or competition

“Canada’s wireless rates are absurd, and broadband is no better. Affordable access to cellular and high-speed Internet service across the country is critical. In 2019, the Liberals promised to lower prices. They failed."
