Family portrait flashback to the first lockdown. I'm not sure how much of a thing it was outside of our circle of friends, but this was fun. Who else has got one? -tk #thegobetweens #libertybelleandtheblackdiamondexpress #albumcoverrecreation

I was thinking of my wife when I wrote that, not the band, but it works for that as well. We’ve still got plenty of time and lots of music in us. We’ll try not to keep you waiting so long for the next one. Thanks so much for listening. tk #transmeridian

This song just got compared to ‘Walk On The Wild Side’, which is a bit much, but it’s a couple of our favourite people’s favourite and I like the lines, “I wish we’d met when we were younger / I wish we had more time to play”. #transmeridian

So Long: The end already? That was quick. Well, this is the last song and it seems fitting. It’s a shame we had such a long gap between albums, but such is life. I’m so happy we got to make this one and that it came out so well. #transmeridian

I love this one - it’s got some extraordinary moments of synchronicity (as Sting might say) between the other three. I think you can hear them listening to each other. is that possible? tk #transmeridian

It’s basically an edited improvisation, like several of these and I seem to remember I bow out at some point, probably because I couldn’t work out what key we were in and didn’t want to sprinkle bum notes all over it. #transmeridian

Flying Home: We’d kept away from our usual aviation-themed titles so far, but this one slipped through. Lindsay reckons this is some of the best drumming he has done. #transmeridian

Very fond of this one. Lindsay out-Ringoing Ringo and Jake’s daughter Etta steals the show in the CODA. tk #transmeridian

The line ‘Nothing is lost’ came from Pete when we asked if the tape was running while we were improvising. Lucky it was really, otherwise there wouldn’t be an album to have a listening party for. #transmeridian

Don’t Be Afraid: What to say about this one? We wrote this in the studio and I guess we were talking and thinking about our kids and whatnot. Once the idea was there the structure and the lyrics came pretty easy, with everyone chipping in thoughts and ideas. #transmeridian

Pete walks across the room and out the door and inadvertantly records himself doing so, which adds a nice extra dimension. Bound to be used in a huge commercial horror film sometime soon. tk #transmeridian
