John Dickson told me evangelism starts with conviction about who Christ is: "It seems to me the thing that inspires evangelistic activity and zeal is a fresh vision of Christ's majesty over all things." Join us as we talk about revival.

If you can lose your salvation, you definitely will.
If you can’t lose your salvation, you definitely won’t.
Happily the second is what the New Testament insists on.
He put relationship over results (abide before you bear fruit – John 15:4).
And He modeled obedience over applause (God’s approval, not man’s – Gal. 1:10).
You can’t microwave maturity. If Jesus didn’t skip the process, what makes us think we can?
Jesus chose preparation over production (30 years hidden for 3 years public – Luke 2:52).
He prized authenticity over perfection (blessed are the pure in heart – Matt. 5:8).
He went for depth over speed (roots that last – Col. 2:7).

Just read another blog by a well-known Christian leader and it got me thinking…
In a world obsessed with fast tracks, hacks, and shortcuts, Christian leaders need to be on guard. The way of Jesus has never been about speed or spotlight — it’s about depth and devotion.

Mission begins in God’s heart and ends in His glory.
He blesses us so the nations might know Him. (Ps 67)
Proclaiming Christ isn’t a burden—it’s our blood-bought joy.
The question is: Do we treat it as honor, or obligation?
Here’s a question I should have asked myself most likely. Young leader, Ask: “Am I running to something better—or away from something hard?”

Competency may get you in the room. Character keeps you in the room. Calling defines why you’re in the room to begin with.
(My own adaptation of Carey Nieuwhof’s original quote)
Exemplary leadership trumps positional leadership every time #leadbyexample #theJesusway
Any theological education that fails to cultivate a deep and personal passion for the lost and a commitment to God’s mission falls short of its purpose and requires serious reformation.
Thank you @gregstier . You are a true champion of the Gospel and it’s an honor to journey with you and the Gospel Revolutionaries!
Words cannot begin to express the power of the last three days in the astounding beauty of Colorado Springs at @gleneyriecastle.
God did a mighty work with, through and in these Gospel advancing revolutionaries.
Please pray for them as they return back to their homes across the United States and around the world. Pray that God gives them wisdom, favor, and resources as they rivet their eyes to the Son and scan the horizon for opportunities to do whatever it takes to see every teenager everywhere hear the gospel from a friend.

Why is it that so many doctrinally focused preachers tend to be so angry and arrogant in their preaching?
Preachers of solid doctrine should be characterized by kindness, not anger. They should be marked by gentle instruction, not indignant ranting.
Far too many preachers today, who are otherwise committed to solid exegesis, fail to obey this clear command of Scripture. They are angry, arrogant and attacking instead of gentle, kind and loving.
As God’s servants, we must learn how to preach the Word of God with clarity, conviction and compassion. In the words of one 18th Century preacher, we should preach with, “a mixture of the lion and the lamb.”
We must humbly proclaim the truth of God with broken hearts for the lost and a shepherd’s heart for the saved.
Here’s how the Apostle Paul put it to Timothy,
“And the Lord’s servant must not quarrel: instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge and of the truth…” 2 Timothy 2:24,25

Hey fellow evangelists at #L4Congress, after a lot of conversations about a lot of stuff, let’s not forget our PRIMARY mission.
It’s to rescue the perishing. It’s to make disciples who make disciples. It’s to join Jesus on his mission to seek and to save the lost.
Let this video serve as a reminder of our urgent mission.
