with ao3 being down and discourse running rampant I'm honestly baffled by the amount of ppl who clearly haven't been through AT LEAST one fan content purge in their time. there are art and fics that are gone FOREVER, and it happened practically overnight. is that not scary to you

I cannot stress enough that AO3 won't exist forever. Smth will happen to it and millions upon millions of works are going to be lost bc of it and those few fanfics saved for personal use are going to be the only remnants of AO3 and it's work.
Just saying.......
Guys I promise I just forget to link the fics I’m not doing it on purpose 😭 no one said I’m doing that, but I feel like someone’s gonna think it because I’m so bad at remembering to link after I’m done finding my screenshots I want to use😭

All the AO3 shit is so funny particularly because the writers are absolutely free to choose any other platform to post their works on that would fit their needs better and give them more control over their fics but nooooooo we need to change AO3 to fit us instead

People saying AO3 readers are unemployed is so funny when the reality is most of us are using AO3 specifically to cope with the tragedy of being employed
