Pawsa in the Park: a thread. Let me preface this by saying Pawsa on home turf is unstoppable. 7 hours of disco, house and pawsa classics. This was an all out dance party filled with the GREATEST vibes I’ve ever shared with strangers. We’re talking Top 5 sets I’ve ever witnessed.

Horror Movie Reviews Day 7: Red Dragon (2002): ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Star studded cast and enjoyable prequel to one of my favorite all time movies. Felt like a lot of elements were copy and pasted though, it’s hard to invoke the same thrill and creepiness as Silence of the Lambs.

The Ring (2002): ⭐️⭐️1/2 This was one I was always too afraid to watch as a kid (but I saw The Exorcist at 9?). Was a lot tamer than expected. Plot kept me engaged but two things 1) WHY make a copy of the tape?! 2) Why’s the kid calling his parents by their names, he annoyed me.

Horror Movie Reviews Day 6: Obsession (2026): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ After seeing it the first time I said it was the best horror movie I’ve seen in a decade plus and I still believe that’s the case. Acting is great and loved picking up on even more nuances this time around. I <3 U Inde

Dismantle the entire organization, team name, ownership, just start fresh. Fucking hate this team with every fiber of my being.
Miami has its first win of the season, beating the Jets 28-25.

Horror Movie Reviews Day 5: The Thing (1982): ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Chilling story (pun 100% intended), kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole thing. Love a movie that’s open to interpretation and keeps you wondering after you watch it. John Carpenter did just that. 👏🏼

Horror Movie Reviews Day 4: Dawn of the Dead (1978): ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 “When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the Earth”. Really fun watch. Quintessential Zombie/Survival Horror movie, it’s evident how much this influenced in years to come. George A. Romero is a legend.

It’s never gonna happen but would love for Howard Stern to interview Seth Troxler for like 2 hours

Horror Movie Reviews Day 3: I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997): ⭐️⭐️ Just another teen slasher movie. Acting is horrible, none of the characters are really likable, nothing really to write home about.

An American Werewolf in London (1981): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Although not as “scary” as previous films I’ve seen, this was a great re-watch after maybe a decade plus. The humor, charm and empathy goes a long way and makes this a truly enjoyable movie.

Horror Movie Reviews Day 2: Carrie (1976): ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Just watched the new miniseries so had to go back and revisit Brian De Palmas OG. The series had a lot more character development to it but Sissy Spacek nailed that role as Carrie to a tee. That stare is chilling to this day.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Psycho is often noted as one of the first slasher films but TCM laid the blueprint for the next 50+ years. Perhaps the most terrifying aspect of the movie, is a lot of it takes place during the day…plus ya know all the cannibalism.

Horror Movie Reviews Day 1: The Sentinel (1977): ⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Was initially drawn to this one because the main actress in it is fucking gorgeous. Got the seal of approval from my dad to watch it. Kinda felt like they combined elements from Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist…

…overall though the story fell a bit flat. Was shocked at how many big actors were in this. It definitely had its moments where it was creepy. Worth checking out if you appreciate older horror films.

Evil Dead 2 (1987): ⭐️⭐️ Man I was so excited to re-watch this for nostalgic purposes and it just didn’t hit the same. Pretty similar to the first, a whole lot campier and will make you chuckle but not really a good movie by any means.
