Forty years ago, at the corner of Dearborn and Randolph in The Loop, the head-banging horror film Trick or Treat (1986) played at the United Artists Theatre. Unfortunately, the theater's iconic marquee would be shut off for good about a year later.

True Romance is one of the only times Quentin Tarantino wrote a film but didn’t direct it. The result? A masterful film directed by Tony Scott. Who’s to say that won’t be the case again in a few weeks? Tarantino put the keys in David Fincher’s hands this time, a director equally as reliable as the late, great Tony Scott. I’m excited.
