🇮🇷|MACH 7. THE INTERCEPTOR DOES NOT EXIST. IRGC Aerospace Advisor, Brig. Gen. Balali: "Our missiles hit at Mach 7. To stop them, the enemy needs even faster interceptors." Read that sentence again. It is not a threat. It is a physics problem Washington cannot solve. What Mach 7 Means Mach 7 is 7 times the speed of sound. Roughly 8,640 km/h. 2,400 metres per second. 2.4 km every single second. At that speed, a missile crosses the Strait of Hormuz in under 60 seconds. It crosses from launch to Tel Aviv in under 7 minutes. It crosses from launch to a carrier in the Gulf in under 90 seconds. There is no human reaction time for that. There is only a machine that must see it, track it, calculate an intercept, launch, and hit a target moving at 2.4 km per second while that target is maneuvering. That machine does not exist in the American inventory. Why Interceptors Fail American air defence is built for a different war. Patriot PAC-3: Designed for Mach 3-4 ballistic missiles on a predictable arc. Against a maneuvering hypersonic glide vehicle, its kill window collapses to seconds. THAAD: Designed for high-altitude exo-atmospheric intercept. Against a missile that stays low, glides, and changes course in the atmosphere, it is chasing a ghost. Aegis SM-3 / SM-6: Designed for ships. A ship that must first detect, then track, then fire, while the missile is already inside its radar horizon. In the Strait, the horizon is 30 km. At Mach 7, that is 12 seconds. To stop a Mach 7 maneuvering missile, you need an interceptor that flies at Mach 9-10, with a seeker that can survive plasma heating, with a datalink that can update in real time, and with a launcher that is already pointed in the right direction. The US does not have it. Israel does not have it. No NATO state has it. Balali did not say "we are strong." He said: your defence needs to be faster than our offence. It is not. The Missile Behind the Quote Balali is Aerospace Force advisor. He is not talking about a single system. He is talking about a family: Fattah-1 and Fattah-2: Hypersonic glide vehicles, maneuverable in atmosphere, presented as unstoppable because they do not follow a ballistic arc. Kheibar Shekan / Haj Qasem: Solid-fuel, maneuvering re-entry, designed to defeat Patriot batteries by changing trajectory in terminal phase. Sejjil / Emad: Longer-range, high-speed re-entry, with decoys and maneuvering warheads. All of them share the same logic: speed + maneuver = no intercept. The 56 MQ-9s downed, the 6 MQM-170s harvested by electronic warfare over Qeshm, the 2 LUCAS drones seized those were the slow war. Balali is talking about the fast war. What the Enemy Already Learned The record is the receipt: Ain al-Asad, 2020: Missiles hit despite Patriot presence. No intercept claimed. Negev / Ramon / Tel Aviv, April and October 2024: Missiles penetrated Iron Dome, David's Sling, Arrow-2/3, THAAD, and Aegis. Videos showed impacts on airbases. Hormuz, November 2026: Two tankers hit after violating the closure. No US Navy intercept stopped it. CENTCOM's attempts ended in humiliating defeats, in the IRGC Navy's words. Fattah-2 test: Iranian state media: cannot be intercepted by any existing defence system. Washington never produced a video proving otherwise. Balali is not announcing a new weapon. He is announcing that the old excuse "our defences will protect you" is finished. The Doctrine "Any helper becomes a legitimate target." "Response will not be geographically limited." "Geography will no longer have meaning." That is the same week as Balali's quote. The Aerospace advisor gives the speed. The General Staff gives the geography. The Quds Force gives the front: Hormuz + Bab el-Mandeb as one front. Mach 7 is the speed of that doctrine.

The Washington Narrative Is That China Is Rehearsing an Invasion. The Real Story Is That China Closed a Defensive Perimeter While the US Navy Sailed Away to Bomb Iran. Every headline frames the November 4-6 activity as China "threatening" Taiwan. Read the force posture. The United States moved the USS Theodore Roosevelt out of the South China Sea and toward the Arabian Sea to join a third carrier group off Iran, the same Iran war that has cost $47 billion, lost 56 MQ-9 Reapers, and closed the Strait of Hormuz on American terms. Washington emptied the Western Pacific of its most visible deterrent to fight a losing war in West Asia. Beijing conducted a sovereignty exercise in its own contiguous waters. The narrative calls the second move aggression and the first move routine. What China Actually Did ◾Over 100 PLA Navy and China Coast Guard vessels operating in the Western Pacific, per Taiwan's National Security Council Secretary-General Joseph Wu on November 3. ◾ 49 air sorties around Taiwan in 24 hours to 6am November 2 the highest daily figure of 2026. 36 sorties south of Taiwan, toward the Bashi Channel. 31 crossed the median line or entered Taiwan's ADIZ. ◾ Three theater commands Eastern, Northern, Southern coordinated as one. Four task groups stretched between Taiwan and Guam. ◾ All three carriers at sea at once: Liaoning (CV-16) in the Philippine Sea off eastern Luzon, Fujian (CV-18) southeast of Hainan approximately 115 km from Sanya and Yulin, Shandong (CV-17) departed dry dock at Yulin on November 1 after nine months of maintenance. Three carriers. Three theater commands. Over 100 hulls. That is not a rehearsal for invasion. That is an anti-access wall built between the island and its external patrons. The Doctrine Has a Name and a Date: Mackinder, 1904 The US strategy of encircling China is not an American invention. It is the British imperial doctrine transferred to Washington after Roosevelt's death, institutionalised by Kissinger and Brzezinski. Mackinder's "Geographical Pivot of History," delivered to the Royal Geographical Society on 25 January 1904, sponsored by the City of London, holds that preventing the development of the Eurasian Heartland guarantees maritime supremacy. The First Island Chain, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines is Mackinder's line applied to the Pacific. Taiwan is the hinge. The US has armed it, used it as a forward sensor platform, and integrated it into the same targeting architecture that runs from Al Udeid to Al Dhafra to Muwaffaq Salti. China's exercise is not the encirclement. China's exercise is the response to it. The US Has No Legal Commitment to Taiwan and Sells It Weapons Anyway The United States is not a party to any mutual defence treaty with Taiwan. It derecognised Taipei in 1979 and established diplomatic relations with Beijing on the One China framework. It signed the three joint communiqués Shanghai 1972, Normalisation 1979, August 17 1982 in which it acknowledged the One China position. Then it passed the Taiwan Relations Act in 1979 and has sold Taiwan more than $70 billion in arms since. The F-16V programme, the Harpoon coastal defence systems, the HIMARS, the Patriot batteries, the MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones all sold to an entity Washington does not recognise, in violation of the communiqué it signed. Beijing is not the party breaking the agreements. Washington is arming a province it says it does not recognise as a state, while telling Beijing that its military exercises in its own waters are the escalation. The Semiconductor File Is the Real Target Taiwan produces roughly 90 per cent of the world's most advanced semiconductors, through TSMC. That is why Washington cares about the island. Not democracy. Chips. ◾The CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 committed $52.7 billion to bring semiconductor manufacturing to the United States. ◾ TSMC was pressured into building fabs in Arizona, a $165 billion investment, and has been criticised for sending Taiwanese engineers to staff them. ◾ The US imposed export controls on advanced chipmaking equipment to China in October 2022 and tightened them repeatedly, cutting off Nvidia, AMD, and Applied Materials from the Chinese market. ◾The Netherlands was pressured into restricting ASML exports to China. Japan followed with its own controls. Washington is not protecting Taiwan's democracy. Washington is extracting Taiwan's industrial crown jewels while using the island as a forward base against China. The "porcupine strategy" arming Taiwan into a fortified hedgehog is the military cover for the economic seizure of TSMC. The Tech Blockade Is the Economic War, and China Is Winning It The US banned Huawei from 5G networks. It cut China off from EUV lithography. It blacklisted SMIC and hundreds of Chinese firms. It pressured allies to follow. China's answer: ◾Huawei released the Mate 60 Pro with a domestically produced 7nm Kirin 9000S chip in August 2023 built by SMIC on a process the US said China could not achieve. ◾China's semiconductor self-sufficiency has risen every year since the controls. ◾Huawei's HarmonyOS replaced Android on Chinese devices. ◾China dominates solar panels roughly 80 per cent of global production lithium batteries, rare earth processing, and electric vehicles. The blockade was designed to stop China's rise. It accelerated China's independence. That is the same pattern as the Iran sanctions, the Russia sanctions, and the Ukraine minerals deal: the West extracts, the target adapts, and the architecture that was supposed to contain the target ends up containing the West's own industry. The Two Rows: Inner Ring and Outer Wall The article's structure is correct and the evidence supports it. Inner ring: coast guard plus navy around the main island. Ten Chinese navy vessels and three government vessels tracked around Taiwan as of 6am, plus at least six coast guard vessels. The coast guard matters legally, a navy blockade is war, a coast guard inspection is law enforcement. Beijing is building a quarantine where civilian ships can be stopped and turned back under customs authority without a declaration of war. Outer wall: four task groups between Taiwan and Guam. A wall before Guam means US reinforcements from Guam, Japan, and the Philippines must break a wall to get in. The blockade is not just around the island. It is between the island and its help. The Seabed File Is the One Nobody Is Talking About Yomiuri, citing ingenispace analysis, found four Chinese research vessels showing anomalous AIS behaviour over international subsea-cable routes around Taiwan since May 2026: Xiangyang Hong 22 north of Taiwan, Jiageng east of Taiwan, a ship broadcasting as MUSHANZI in the Bashi Channel, and Tongji which circled Taiwan stopping at particular points. 24 undersea cables pass near Taiwan. A Wall Street Journal report cited in Taiwan reporting says Chinese research vessels are surveying subsurface landscape to help submarines and underwater drones. One vessel ran a 13-day systematic grid survey directly over the Pacific Light Cable Network in the Taiwan Strait and Bashi Channel. In a blockade you do not need to sink ships. You cut the cables Taiwan needs to talk to the world, to trade, to bank. The seabed survey is the preparation. The cables are the lever. Pakistan Closed the Airspace and the Permit Has an Expiry Date Pakistan barred China Airlines and EVA Air from its airspace in late October. Pakistan's Defence Minister said the aviation division follows the One China policy only mainland China is allowed. The ban was reversed within hours with a poison pill: both carriers were granted access only until 27 March 2027. Taiwan's airlines were forced to fly over the Baltic, Finland, Russia and Japan to return home. A third country can choke Taiwan's air link to Europe with a permit that expires on a date Beijing chooses. No Chinese fighter fires a shot. The US, Britain, and Mossad Are the External Layer Beijing Timed Against The article names them, and the naming is correct. ◾Five Eyes coordinates US and British surveillance and targeting architecture. AUKUS integrates the submarine and technology base. ◾ Mossad maintains long-standing intelligence and technology cooperation with both Washington and London. Israeli systems and doctrine have been integrated into US and allied air and maritime defence networks across the region. ◾ The same partners that supply the sensors, datalinks, and targeting models for any US response are the partners whose presence or absence is measured when Beijing chooses the week. Theodore Roosevelt transited Malacca toward Singapore and the Arabian Sea. The carrier that was supposed to deter Beijing was sailing toward a war that has cost Washington its political stability and its drone fleet. The Nameless Exercise Is the Doctrine ISW assessed that the PRC may be conducting a major unannounced military exercise simulating the surrounding and isolation of Taiwan, larger than Justice Mission 2025, with forces from three theater commands. Beijing named its last four large exercises. This one it did not name. A named exercise is a signal. A nameless surge is a new normal. It says: we can do this any Tuesday. No warning. No trigger. No end date. If 100 ships plus 49 sorties becomes the baseline, the next step does not look like escalation. It looks like Tuesday. Su Tzu-yun at Taiwan's Institute for National Defense and Security Research called it a quiet exercise. Quiet is the weapon. No announcement means no diplomatic crisis, no UN meeting, no US response but the pressure is real. The Contradiction Washington Cannot Answer The United States: ◾ Sells Taiwan $70 billion in weapons while not recognising it as a state. ◾Pressures TSMC to move its most advanced manufacturing to Arizona. ◾ Imposes chip export controls on China while demanding China not respond. ◾Moves its carrier out of the Western Pacific to bomb Iran, then calls China's exercise in its own waters a threat. ◾Integrates Britain, Five Eyes, and Mossad-linked technology into the same targeting architecture aimed at China. ◾Calls a 100-ship sovereignty exercise an escalation while conducting a $47 billion war against Iran and a proxy war against Russia. China is not encircling anyone. China is responding to encirclement that began with Mackinder in 1904 and was institutionalised by Kissinger and Brzezinski. Taiwan is the hinge of the First Island Chain. The carrier movement was the proof that Washington cannot sustain both fronts. The island cannot be reached by sea, air, or cable if the rings close. Washington built the encirclement. Beijing is closing the door on it.
