📢 Looking for maintainers!
#Dropwizard #Metrics is lacking some engaged maintainers to drive the project and add new life to it.
Metrics is being used by some well-known projects such as Spring Boot, JIRA, Solr, Kafka, and Flink:

There's only 1 (one!) open issue left in the #Dropwizard #Metrics 5.0.0 milestone and it's about providing an interface and some default implementations for formatting metric names.

Dropwizard 3.x will still support the Java EE namespace while Dropwizard 4.x will support the Jakarta EE namespace.

Years ago, I made a @dropwizardio bundle which allowed adding JSR 356 Websockets. I got the request to make it compatible with the new #JakartaEE for #dropwizard 4.0 (now in BETA). 😁
Still professionalizing the repo but beta version available now: buff.ly/3LuPbkl

Dropwizard 2.1.0-beta.8 has been released. This is hopefully one of the last beta releases.
We've added a bunch of features, bug fixes, and deprecated some classes which will be removed in Dropwizard 3.0.0.
Please send us your feedback.
