Enjoyed a full day with Dr David Hernandez as we partnered up to perform the first set Aquablation procedures at @USFUrology. Excited to implement this as another good treatment option for our patients and skill set for our trainees

Great visiting professor lecture yesterday @USFUrology by @alexjohnvanni on complicated urinary fistulae. A good reminder that a little muscle goes a long way in supporting these repairs. These flaps are likely heavily underutilized. Thanks for your time

A patient informed us today that she had obtained a home electrolysis machine of some sort. I am both intrigued and a little concerned. Very curious if others have had experience with this…

Got a DM ab thigh pouches. We do them but often not during initial case as we expect to come back and maybe have more involved. In that case, we suture testes together to prevent them from being able to twist. Saw a torsion from dressing changes before that resulted in infarct.
CTs aren’t necessary but can help give an idea of how far spread you may have disease. Also a calculator below for predicting nec fasc that you may not have seen before. For me, DM with a low sodium sounds off the alarms in my head! mdcalc.com/lrinec-score-necr…
