“Nothing will affect the future of humanity more than digital super-intelligence.” Eight years later, that statement feels less like speculation. The conversation is arriving.

There may be a moment when digital intelligence crosses a threshold we can’t uncross. Before it: humans build the smartest systems. After it: the smartest systems build themselves. Digital Super Intelligence is that threshold.

Building something more intelligent than ourselves is one problem. Remaining in control of it is another. The second problem may prove much harder.

Humans stop. We sleep. We lose focus. We forget. Digital intelligence doesn’t inherit those limits. DSI is intelligence without the biological clock.
