The genetic risk for ADHD was also associated with the development of tau pathology only in subjects positive for amyloid at baseline.

Interestingly, cognitive decline was observed mostly in individuals with high genetic risk for ADHD who also had amyloid deposits at baseline. Suggesting that the genetic risk for ADHD increases the susceptibility to amyloid pathology.
