Nah the defensive issues are legit but RJ hard carrying the offense for a half vs Minny is the most impressive thing any Raptor has done season to date
Need the "learn the rules" guys to defend this one
ROOKIE CALEB WILSON COOKED PAUL GEORGE 🤧
Shifty jab into the dunk 😯

This was an uncalled traveling violation.

On a second watch that might actually be the worst game I've ever seen from Scottie. He wasn't just passive with his scoring he missed passes that should be routine for him and the defensive effort was awful. Just left the entire toolkit at home and contributed nothing
We've already circled back to this point and it's still true. IQ is a very productive 3rd or 4th option, if the offense needs significantly more out of him the problem is that you need another star. And that's a defensible position but it's about Scottie not IQ
You can't say IQ is inadequate as a 4th option in a league where Derrick White, Christian Braun and OG Anunoby were the 3rd options for the top 3 offenses six months ago.
If you need more out of him you lack star power, have serious roster construction issues or both
What's really happening here is a lot of you agree with @Hworlds17 but you just don't want to admit it
Scottie is taking 35% of his shots from inside 10' down from 55% last year(54% career to date)
IQ is taking 21% of his shots inside 10' down from 28% last year(30% career to date)
Doesn't really seem like this can be explained by your individual player agendas
Seems far more likely that the Raptors, who were already a bad shooting team, lost 2(3 if you count Gradey) shooters, only brought in 1 and the extra interior help that affords defenses is clogging up driving lanes

it's not that sports is becoming kpop or kpop is becoming sports, but that both (along with politics, art, pretty much everything else in society) is converging on their final form: Professional Wrestling
People really overthink Scottie
He's a motor player so he can never afford to coast. When he plays with force he's great and when he doesn't you get games like tonight. Overall it's way more good than bad and nothing to date suggests he'll coast in the playoffs
I get that there's a difference between what is said here vs what's said behind closed doors and I really hope that there's some accountability happening in private but this is just a bad look
Your man just had an historically bad game, you can't just "make or miss league" it
Darko on what the Minnesota Timberwolves did well against Scottie Barnes tonight:
“I don’t think they did anything, to be honest with you, that they got him off the game. He just missed his shots. All the shots that he took in the game, I thought they were good shots.”
“This is not going to happen again to Scottie. Scottie is going to make those shots next time.”
“I didn’t see anything special that they did to him to get him off balance.”
We'll see what the numbers look like after this one but Scottie, IQ and Poeltl all seeing a sharp decline in paint scoring going into this one and you can't convince me that the team having fewer shooters in the rotation has nothing to do with that
