The Daring Greatly Leadership Manifesto
I want to show up, I want to learn, and I want to inspire.
I am hardwired for connection, curiosity, and engagement.
I crave purpose, and I have a deep desire to create and contribute.
I want to take risks, embrace our vulnerabilities, and be courageous.
When learning and working are dehumanized, I disengage and turn away from the very things that the world needs from me: my talent, ideas, and passion.
What I ask is that you engage with me, show up beside us, and learn from me.
Feedback is a function of respect; when you don’t have honest conversations with me about my strengths and my opportunities for growth, I question my contributions and your commitment.
Above all else, I ask that you show up, let yourself be seen, and be courageous—dare greatly with me.

When you admire someone, let them know. Give people their flowers.
Backstory: for a project in a Sports Leadership class, we were asked to highlight a team and/or sport leader that inspires us.
Here are the results:

The future belongs to those who have the courage to lead with purpose and the humility to keep learning.

Athletic trainers can't do their best work without the right support.
@kpitts724 and @CoachPrentiss talk about how providing the proper resources empowers athletic trainers to keep student-athletes healthy, respond with confidence, and make a lasting impact on your program.
When you invest in your athletic trainers, you invest in your athletes.
The small conversations, daily coaching, and consistent support often make the biggest impact. Leadership isn’t about a title; it’s about the positive influence you have on those around you every day.

Receiving a thank you card from a parent today was such a great reminder of how special this community is.
The support, kindness, and appreciation in Hutto never go unnoticed. Grateful to have served such an awesome community. 🧡🦛
Humility is understanding the work is never finished.
Gratitude is recognizing you never got here alone.

So grateful for @RankOne Pro!
RankOne does a fantastic job at improving communication across the entire athletic program, making it easier to keep athletes safe and eligible. Having a system that streamlines daily tasks allows athletic trainers to spend more time focusing on student-athlete care instead of administrative work.

I love coming to work and seeing my students up early, working hard to set up for practices with smiles on their faces while the rest of the world is still asleep. They are my reason why.
Entitled to nothing. Grateful for everything.

The impact you make isn’t just in the big wins. It’s in the consistency, the accountability, and the belief you carry for your team when they need it most.
Lead with purpose.
Serve with heart.
Finish with pride.

The Hutto softball season comes to an end, and while the final score isn’t the ending we hoped for, it doesn’t take away from everything this team accomplished along the way. The growth, effort, and pride they played with is something that can’t be measured on a scoreboard.
Thank you to the players for their dedication, to the coaches for their leadership, and to the families and fans for their constant support. The season may be over, but the impact of this team will carry forward.

Unpopular opinion:
Chronically overdosing on games and practices while neglecting basic physical development has has resulted in very talented athletes who are also weak, underdeveloped, and fragile.
