"Figure It Out" is out. Boom bap, heavy bass, dusty vinyl. The visualizer is MidiViz, thanks to @SimonGFarmer for building it.

I just say "Hey Grok" from anywhere in my house. Grok Bot is now live in its own body. Designing this myself would have taken forever, but Grok Bot basically built its own body.

I'm watching @Kalshi markets bounce like a ping pong ball on this race. Sullivan odds are moving at 1.4-4.8X back a forth. This one is going to be fun to watch tonight.

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5:
hackertube.org/
- Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session)
- Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads
- Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version
- HackerTube Longs ✊
A bit more on the process:
I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing.
Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.
Beautifully broken media, Alaska edition. Nine of my phone clips melting into each other, set to TC Wren's Still Point - Heat-Haze Horizon. My bots built it from my clips this morning after seeing this. Full music videos next. Shout out @bot Lamar

Data centers: big political hot point, fuzzy signal to noise. Both sides are running their campaigns on data, this post included. Show me the kilowatt-hours and who pays for them.

Final cut of "Charge Them More." Mika Veil sings about platforms that can see the scams, count the money, and leave the lights on.

Three hardware wallet hacks this month, and nobody cracked a single private key. One reseller sold Ledgers with spy chips that leaked seed phrases. Ngrave lost a cloud access key, and fake alerts went out asking people for their seed phrase. Keystone lost the factory key that proves a device is genuine. The math held up. The supply chain and the server credentials didn't. Buy direct, and never type your seed because an alert told you to. Where do you buy yours?
We are aware of differing figures circulating publicly regarding the amount frozen, including references to $1.8 billion.
For clarity, the current verified total frozen is $2.54 billion. This figure may continue to increase as our teams work closely with law enforcement, issuers, blockchain intelligence firms and industry partners to trace and freeze additional assets.
We will only share confirmed figures and will provide further updates as more verified information becomes available.
Anthropic's filing says it can spend up to $120.5B on SpaceXAI compute, about $3.1B a month once it's fully running. It's a ceiling, not a locked minimum, and either side can walk away on 90 days' notice after early 2027. Is that flexibility smart or a sign nobody wants to be stuck?

This is the real deal, not HAARP clickbait: NASA science rockets going up from Poker Flat, with a public schedule and a livestream. Last one was DUST-III on Oct 21. I'll post new launches here as they're announced. pfrr.alaska.edu/active-missi…
