I find the Oasis reunion phenomenon strange for a few reasons. - When the Stone Roses reformed we hadn’t heard those songs played by any member of the band for almost 20 years. The Roses (bar Brown) were brilliant musicians. So when they played them again it was sort of a right of passage. - Oasis however, both Liam and Noel never stopped playing Oasis songs in the time they were split up. No member of Oasis is in the brilliant musician category, and only 2 members of the actual band are there. So it’s tough to understand the excitement. - But most prevalently - Liam Gallagher can no longer sing. He can’t hit any notes, he’s just shouting. I saw them 9 times. I’d say 5 times in their prime. They were some band back then. Nowadays, it’s a tribute act.
