A US-brokered truce is to let hungry Oleshky residents leave. Those bound for Ukrainian-held territory, just across the river, go via Russia and Belarus. That may mean "filtration," as in Mariupol in 2022.
ISW also warns Russia may use the truce to rebuild its forces.

Today, Russia once again showed how it really feels about ending the war and seeking peace.
The deliberate mass killing of civilians right on the streets and in residential buildings in several Ukrainian cities in a single day – these are Russia’s “arguments” in negotiations.
Ukraine and the entire free world must respond to this with real strength. For every victim in Ukraine, Russian defense industry facilities must burn, and Moscow’s very ability to wage aggression must be destroyed. Only the military strength of Ukraine and its partners can stop the daily loss of life caused by bombs, drones, and missiles in the heart of Europe.
I call on Ukraine’s partners to give the aggressor a fitting response to its daily terror. Long-range weapons to suppress Russia’s ability to wage its genocidal war, effective air defense systems to save the lives of Ukrainian civilians – this is what will truly bring peace closer.
Only together can we stop Russian evil.

The USA is enabling the Russian invasion army to reinforce its positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, ruining years of work by Ukrainian defenders.

Azov reported that its drones hit over 100 Russian trains supplying the occupiers' logistics. Locomotives, fuel tankers, and other equipment were put out of action. This disrupted the supply lines of Russian forces and weakened their offensive capability.

"Within days, Russian soldiers poisoned their dog, an Alabai, along with all the other large dogs in Oleshky. They killed Liudmila’s nextdoor neighbor and raped his wife. A local butcher disappeared; no one knew whether he was also killed. Some neighbors were detained and beaten. Armed, masked soldiers searched Liudmila’s home three times, confiscating the couple’s Ukrainian passports and leaving them with no documents. And yet, Liudmila and Andriy stayed. They got a new puppy, also an Alabai. Russian troops started to move into civilian houses, parking tanks in what once were gardens."

I really hope that European states are waking to the reality that they are on their own with Ukraine--with Canadian help. The US is now their enemy and China is not their friend.

Ставити під сумнів ефективність ударів дронів Fire Point по цілях на території РФ може хіба що ідіот. Так само некоректно оголошувати крилату ракету «Фламінго» неефективною лише на підставі окремих невдалих застосувань. Американські та російські крилаті ракети також зазнають втрат і не завжди досягають цілей в умовах розвиненої протиповітряної оборони та A2/AD.
Однак питання викликає не сама продукція Fire Point, а публічні маніпуляції, гучні анонси та заяви керівництва компанії, які не завжди відповідають підтвердженим результатам.
FP-9: у квітні 2026 року Денис Штілерман обіцяв готовність балістичної ракети дальністю 850 км до середини року. У вересні компанія вже говорила про завершення розробки наприкінці осені.
Балістична ракета повітряного базування: у квітні 2026 року анонсували авіаційну версію FP-9 зі збільшеною дальністю. Станом на кінець жовтня публічних підтверджень її льотних випробувань немає.
FP-9 і Москва: у червні Штілерман прогнозував випробувальні пуски в напрямку Москви влітку або на початку осені. Публічних підтверджень таких пусків немає.
«Фламінго»: у жовтні 2025 року керівництво заявляло про виробництво 2–3 ракет на добу. Пізніше озвучували потужність до семи ракет на добу, але фактичні обсяги виробництва та поставок критично залежать від двигуна, якого більше "немає".
Проблема не в тому, що складні оборонні програми стикаються із затримками чи технічними труднощами. Це нормальна частина розробки озброєння.
Проблема починається тоді, коли прогнози подаються як майже гарантовані результати, виробничі потужності змішуються з фактичним випуском, а гучні анонси не супроводжуються зрозумілими оновленнями про реальний стан програм і замість цього численні медіа-ін'єкції з темами Мілфтеха, Сала на ракетах, кадрами з макетами щоб спровокувати...
Критикувати таку комунікацію це не заперечувати бойову цінність української зброї, а казати прямо що Fire Point пубілчно робить херню яка шкодить їм самим більше ніж ворожі удари.
