Today, I outlined my vision for rolling out the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark @CTATech Innovation House.
This will give consumers a new tool to identify products that make cybersecurity a standard feature of a connected home.

That was one of the most humiliating, embarrassing, unacceptable finishes in franchise history. I cannot believe it just happened.
Nobody is getting fired. I would even say nobody should get fired. But that was a fireable sequence. That cannot happen at this level. It is just a completely disastrous and unacceptable outcome.
There is no explaining it. That is as embarrassing as the swinging gate. That was so bad. No hyperbole, that was just amateur hour.

Shocking images of the Tiananmen massacre. China might have gone the way of other Communist dictatorships in 1989, but for this readiness to gun down unarmed civilians.
Today, the ’89 Democracy Movement has been so effectively memory-holed that Chinese students, shown the famous image of the man standing in front of the tanks with his shopping bags, do not recognise it as being in China.
WATCH: Britain’s ITN has released ~4 hours of previously sealed 1989 Tiananmen footage — filmed by the team that smuggled the tapes out of China.
The material, archived for ~35 years, includes a 2-hour crackdown compilation and 90 minutes of secretly filmed raw rushes from the days after, showing military trucks on Beijing streets, crowds, and the aftermath.

This is the kind of pledge that the @FTC could potentially tally enforce, if a company materially failed to follow through on any of these promises.
Only President Trump could convene all the leaders of the top companies developing chips, data centers and frontier models for Super Intelligence. This new Industrial Revolution has already created a million new jobs and is spurring a bigger infrastructure build-out than the railroads, canals and grid combined. I was honored to witness history as the leaders of the frontier lab companies signed the White House Accord on Super Intelligence, accepting responsibility for the safe development of their products and imposing new internal controls and external audits. This is far better than waiting years for some international agreement that would probably never happen. President Trump continues to ensure that U.S. remains the technology leader while putting Americans first.

I spoke to @BenSasse in March, and asked him how long he thought he had left. He said, then: “The trial’s going really well. I would love to see the kickoff of Nebraska’s football season"--Sept. 5.
Today Bowling Green plays Nebraska as the college football season starts. And Ben’s still alive.

It’s been wild to watch opposition against data centers swell in real time over the past year.
My newest attempts to understand why everyone hates data centers by analyzing two hearings in my hometown of Springfield, IL just as opposition was heating up nationally.
While the December 2025 hearing was about energy, utilities, and cost, the March hearing was far more accusatory. Speakers called the company's presentation a "crafty bill of lies," and the broader company "shady," claiming they would "lie constantly" to get what they wanted. Where December was about allocation, the March hearing was about health, air, and who can control daily life.
There are many dimensions to the data center fight and this is just one story within it. The results, I think, support my overall thesis, that “Once a conflict moves into identity and way of life, price and terms stop settling it cleanly.”
Let me know what you think! A full writeup on my Substack will be published by the end of week.
Strong majorities, upward of 70 percent of voters, dislike data centers. And those numbers don’t vary much by political party, which has led to stable coalitions and political action, writes AEI’s @WillRinehart in The American Enterprise.
