In about an hour we will walk through Lobbies to vote to save hundreds of thousands of families who rely on UC from hardship. There will be a few hundred MPs who will genuinely be worrying more about their own prospects in the #Reshuffle while they vote to take away a lifeline

Ignore the idea, being pushed by Johnson, that it's up to us to fix our own personal carbon footprint
It's bullshit
If restrictions are not imposed by govt, people simply won't change (look how difficult it was to get people to take lifesaving action during Covid)
#Newsnight
FUN FACT: the 'personal carbon footprint' was invented by BP in 2005.
The PR campaign they created to back it worked so well that many of us now think saving the planet is a largely personal responsibility rather than a govt and corporate issue

How to fund social care?
By taxing wealth, not work.
Dom is right on this one.

Today my 12 yr son Tim is 41. His life was ended by an IRA bomb, but it helped bring peace to GB, NI & ROI thro @peacefoundation. Wendy and I wanted to make Timโs life have meaning and I think weโve done so. RIP Tim. Your light shines bright x. Please R/T

The great majority of adults have been vaccinated.
Four weeks working on a COVID ward makes stark the reality that the majority of our hospitalised COVID patients are unvaccinated and regret delaying. Some are very sick including young adults.
Please don't delay your vaccine.

No surprise that the most incompetent Govt ever includes #DominicRaab
Raab is way out of his depth & should resign. Another bad appointment by #BorisJohnson who (w few exceptions) has chosen second rate sycophants as his most senior Ministers.

It's early days yet, but this speech by Afghanistan veteran @TomTugendhat may be the most powerful you will hear today.

Today Downing street sent out a tweet at midday claiming the PM had held a minutes silence for the victims of the Plymouth shooting. Half arsed & half pissed from last night he arrived late. so they turned back the clock but forgot his wristwatch. He hates the working class.

I canvassed for Dominic in Marlow in 2019, heโs a thoroughly decent man & was a great MP & a credit to @HouseofCommons & heโs right about @BorisJohnson & @Conservatives

We are far from the Channel here in #Northumberland, but we stand with our friends and colleagues at those stations in the southeast of the UK, doing what our founder envisaged in 1824, #SavingLivesAtSea. #IStandByTheRNLI

129,000 people who died didnโt cower, they fought for their lives
Frontline workers didnโt cower, they kept calm & carried on
Millions in lockdown didnโt cower, they followed your rules & made sacrifices for others
Glad youโve recovered but pls never treat illness as weakness
