Trevor Noah explains why he thinks Thanos was actually the good guy in Avengers Trevor Noah: “Thanos was actually the good guy in the movie.” Devin: “Good guy? You think so, too?” Trevor Noah: “It’s just that we’re not told the story from his perspective, so immediately we’re biased against him we think of Thanos as being bad because he’s not traditionally good looking. He doesn’t have pretty privilege.” Eugene: “The Avengers are an entitled bunch.” Trevor Noah: “Go around breaking shit, never fixing things these things could have been building low-cost housing. These things could have been out there helping people in floods.” Eugene: “You could have told us this at the beginning.” Devin: “I don’t think that makes Thanos the good guy. I think the Avengers are bad or morally complicated.” Trevor Noah: “So why isn’t he morally complicated? Why is he the bad guy?”

Michael Douglas’s father admitted he would’ve treated him better if he’d known how successful he would become. Conan O’Brien: “Your father came on my late night show two times. And this is a big deal for me. He came on after his stroke. He had a very debilitating stroke, and he had a hard time communicating.” “He said, ‘I think Michael’s a much better actor than I am, and I was a good actor.’” Michael Douglas: “His best line after Cuckoo’s Nest, I remember, was, ‘If I knew you were going to be so successful, I would have been nicer to you.’” Conan O’Brien: “Which is a funny line, but also had some truth to it, too.” Michael Douglas: “It had some truth in it.”

Michael Douglas reveals what happened while filming Romancing the Stone with a 12-foot crocodile. Michael Douglas: “We had the crocodile’s mouth wired shut. And he was about, you know, 12 feet.” “He was kind of slow, and I picked up his tail a couple of times, just to test the weight of how I was going to be able to hold him.” “When the director called action, it was like this crocodile heard it. And the crocodile took off.” “I went down and I grabbed him. And he took his tail and he went whack, whack…” The crocodile escaped into the bay in Veracruz, Mexico. When the animal handlers tried to retrieve it, one of them jumped into the water. Michael Douglas: “The last thing I remember is this guy going down.” The handler was pulled out and rushed to the hospital with a badly mangled arm. That night, Douglas visited him after surgery. Michael Douglas: “I went over close to him, and he said, ‘My Rolex.’” The crocodile had bitten down on his wrist, but the watch had helped prevent even worse damage to his hand. The crew returned to the location the next day and recovered it from the water. Michael Douglas: “I always wonder why Rolex never came to me to do a commercial, you know? It was too good to be true.”

Brooke says her husband chose porn over her, leaving them having sex only twice a month Brooke: “there was a point where we were only having sex like two times a month, dude, two times a month having sex. I’m a very sexual person.” Caleb Hammer: “does he choose porn over you?” Dean: “It’s just the mutual timing just doesn’t match up. It has nothing to do with not choosing you over that.” Brooke: “all of a sudden, since I addressed it with you, all of a sudden we’ve been having all kinds of sex why do you need to look at somebody else?” Caleb Hammer: “it’s better if he’s choosing porn over you, but if you guys are having a lot of sex right now…” Brooke: “the thing is, why do you need to look at a different bitch to get off when I’m essentially at your beck and call?”

Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus SLAMS Sydney Sweeney’s controversial betting ad, saying it was a “kick in the face” to women fighting to make sports taken seriously. Ariarne Titmus: “Initially, I just thought that it was a kick in the face to any woman that took sports seriously.” “There's nothing wrong with being beautiful and showing off your body and embracing your curves. There's nothing wrong with that. Do that, but don't try and attach it to something else and take away from something else, especially something like women's sport.” “She doesn't need to show herself nude to sell something.” “I think that what they did was totally purposeful and they wanted the reaction that they got.”

Sacha Baron Cohen says Gary Shandling helped save Borat when the movie was on the verge of being shut down. Sacha Baron Cohen: “Gary Shandling, who I love. He was my mentor when I came to Hollywood. He helped with all the movies. He actually saved Borat, the movie.” “Fox gave us three weeks to get the movie up and running, otherwise they were going to shut it down. We had no script, no story.” Cohen went to Shandling’s basketball game, where he was playing alongside comedians including Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell. During the game, he went up for a basket and landed on Shandling’s foot. Sacha Baron Cohen: “I go for a basket. I land on his foot, I roll my foot. And I hear the popping noise of two tendons…” “It was the best thing that happened because suddenly insurance kicked in. And for three months, I was on crutches, and in that time, we wrote a story, That extra time allowed them to hire Larry Charles, develop the story, and eventually make a film Cohen is still proud of Sacha Baron Cohen: “That guy never wanted a credit. He wanted to increase the peace. He just wanted to give love and help all of us.” “He would help with edits, he’d come to screenings, he’d come to read-throughs. He was just an incredible man.”

Martin Cosser says he imagined caving in the head of the boy who killed his son Charlie Liam Tuffs: “what was it like actually looking at the boy that killed your son?” Martin Cosser: “something inside me in that moment just changed, i sat there every day and i just envisioned caving his head in with a baseball bat Tara just grabbed my leg and put her nails in, and said, ‘for Charlie, for Charlie,’ and i had to sit back down the pain and the agony, and i think part of that as well is because he has shown no remorse he didn't even flinch, no emotion how can you kill someone, take someone's life like that? an innocent person and all, at 16 years old, and show no remorse?”

Eric Weinstein admitted he wants to stop all AI, for the sake of his kids. Steve Bartlett: If you could stop both of them, would you?  Eric Weinstein: And have Elon and Mark Zuckerberg win? Or China?  Steve Bartlett: Xi? If you could stop all of it, would you stop all of it?  Eric Weinstein: Maybe. Probably. if I could somehow stop all of it, I'd probably stop all of it. Even at huge expense to myself.  Steve Bartlett: Why?  Eric Weinstein: Why would I stop it? Because survival matters more to me than anything else. I've got two kids on this planet. I love life. I can't believe we're so lucky to... Isn't this great?  Eric Weinstein: I I just love I I I can't tell you how I feel about being alive. So I want us to go on forever, and I love this I love this thing.  Eric Weinstein: It's bad for me because the AI is the only thing that I can ultimately rely on, and it's not good enough yet.  Steve Bartlett: Rely on to...  Eric Weinstein: I've spent 42 years working on something. To have Stephen Bartlett say, "You have a chip on your shoulder." It's like, "Really, Stephen? No, I did great work, and it's going to be validated, and I'm going to be right and everyone else is going to be wrong."
