Techno was born in Detroit, not Berlin.
Ruby Justice-Thelot on how the late Juan Atkins drew inspiration from Star Trek, Alvin Toffler, and the echoes of Detroit's abandoned car factories to make music that sounded like the future:
"Many people are asking the question, who invented techno? It can feel sometimes like people in Berlin did, but in fact, of course, it was invented in Detroit."
"He loved space, time travel, aliens, UFOs. He was watching Star Trek, Star Wars, and read Asimov."
"What is so special about techno music is that it takes Toffler’s idea of techno rebels. Those people who wield technology for their own creative empowerment."
"You could still hear the echoes of the now closed automotive factories. It is in those echoes that techno was born."

Ball movement this game has been much worse than at any point this season. Thought 1st quarter was too much Cade ball, not anything like the offense we’ve seen for most of the year.
It got worse in the second quarter, as well.
Part of the growth with playing a new way, but this is what it’ll look like when they revert to bad habits.
Wildest part of that parliament drama to me was the officials in the background having separate conversations and laughing among themselves.

Watching LeBron being the guy going the hardest during the Embiid intro and the way he is throwing dimes like he’s prime Oprah makes me think LeBron is actually in his basketball nirvana.
