The case involving Rose Mbithe Mulwa and her children, lawyers Angela Mulwa and Chris Mulwa, took a dramatic turn on Tuesday when the three appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo over the fatal shooting of clinical psychologist Dr. Victoria Mutiso.
Rose shifted attention to her former husband, renowned Kenyan psychiatrist Professor David Musyimi Ndetei, urging authorities to investigate him as a person of interest. She alleged that she left their 25-year marriage after he threatened to kill her.
Rose also claimed that Dr. Mutiso had previously worked as a cleaner at her office and said she was unaware of any romantic relationship between the deceased and her former husband. She alleged that the two later lived in properties she owned.
She further challenged reports that the disputed property belonged to Dr. Mutiso, noting that it was bought in 1986 for KSh1.2 million, when Mutiso was only 11 years old. Rose also questioned why Professor Ndetei, who she said is now wheelchair-bound and experiencing declining mental health, had not presented himself as the complainant in the case.
