To me there’s one very obvious reason Elizabeth Holmes doesn’t seem to understand what she did was wrong in You Can See Everything that I haven’t seen anyone mention and it’s not because “her mind works differently” it’s because a lawyer told her never to admit guilt on camera after a court orders you to pay $452 million in restitution if you were ever hoping to get it reduced.

Joe Rogan explains why he believes in platforming people, days after he snubbed Hasan Piker on an elevator: Joe: "I get why people have that sense, you shouldn't platform people, I think that instinct is incorrect." Guest: "if I didn't like someone, I want them platformed." Joe: "well not only that, you already know them, they're already out there. You're not gonna make them more popular, they are who they are."

I don’t think a guy who wanted to party with Jeffrey Epstein and spent $44 billion dollars to hurt his own child gets to say something is wrong with somebody else

On August 18, when given the choice between Angie Nixon and Alex Vindman, a stiff, poll-tested moderate of the kind Democrats have been foisting upon Floridians for years, voters chose Nixon by a decisive 12-point margin. The result shocked national commentators. It was a testament to how poorly Vindman understood Florida — “He says he’s lived here for three years,” Nixon says, “but I had never heard of him” — that he failed to see what was obvious on the ground: Democratic voters were fed up with the status quo. Nixon, a dynamic 42-year-old Black single mother turned union organizer, has premised her Senate campaign on the idea that GOP rule in Florida has been a disaster. The Democrats’ go-to response over the past 30 years has largely been to run the most anodyne candidates they can find, only to watch the state become redder. Nixon has taken the opposite approach, seizing on a polarizing agenda of bigger government and universal programs that pundits long assumed would exclusively resonate in deep-blue states like New York. What makes Nixon different, according to people who know her, is that her public brawling is matched by her shrewdness and stamina as an organizer. “Angie won the Democratic primary because she has been knocking on doors, talking to people, alongside people, for decades,” says educator and writer Phillip Agnew. She is unafraid to talk to anyone. The public line is that she’s running to win this election, even if the polls say that result is unlikely. But no matter the outcome, she is providing a template for the kind of durable grassroots operation Democrats have neglected when running in Florida. He pretended he had nothing to do with this after literally threatening it. This is why he was promising to give kids money. He knew this story was coming out

interesting what they're allowed to interpret literally (streamer makes a joke years ago), versus what they're allowed to dismiss as simple "jokes" (lifelong neocon republicans opine for a republican majority in 2026) noticing!
Tim Miller updates Bill Kristol on the fallout over James Carville Tim: That's wrong. That is a bad point. I think James maybe is getting a little too wrapped up in his internal factional politics there Bill: You shouldn't always take James too literally. Sometimes you have to take him seriously... I didn't know that had gotten him or us in trouble. Tim: You do concur that it'd be better to have a narrow democratic majority? Bill: Yes. Generally, it's better to win than to lose, which I think is also something Carville *usually* says
