🎉 Dale Ho has been confirmed as the newest Federal District Judge in New York! 🎉
In 2018, I watched the Fish v. Kobach trial where Ho proved that Kris Kobach was running a voter suppression scheme that unconstitutionally disenfranchised tens of thousands of Kansans.

This law primarily disenfranchised young Kansans. It was without a doubt the biggest obstacle to democracy in Kansas. @ACLUkansas under the lead of @Dale_e_Ho did an amazing job of proving to the court that "voter fraud" is a myth, but voter suppression is very very real.

Three cheers to @KMUW for this story on landlord Lew McGinnis. Nearly 1/3 of evictions in Kansas are filed in Sedgwick County. Of those, 1/4 are filed by companies controlled by ONE GUY. And as the story tells it, those apartments are not in good shape.

Finally, fully went hoarse after the sixth gender marker presentation in two weeks. Almost 100 people attended the Lawrence presentation yesterday, a wonderful crowd that spilled out onto the sidewalk still asking questions and sharing cards after the library closed.
I say “we” because, in those four years, I’ve come to be a part of a weird, huge, wonderful community of folks fighting for trans rights in KS. Texting, slacking, sending emails all day. Venmo’ing each other money to buy stamps and diapers for people who need them.
