Remember the Batman statue I mentioned not long ago? I came across a really reasonable offer on the interwebs that looked almost too good to pass up. (But not good enough to make it be sketchy, mind you...) Was able to negotiate it down a bit, too. So I ended up getting the 1:6 scale Batman statue by Andy Kubert, one of the limited editions, for roughly what it's original retail price would be today after adjusting for inflation. Which means I got the actual collectible instead of the replica I found on Etsy (I know we don't use Etsy anymore BUT i really wanted that statue) Still well into the three digits, but nowhere near some of the prices I've seen collectors asking for it. ...And this is going to be my first numbered collector's item. Like, ever. It's one of only 5,200! And naturally, I'm going to free him from his packaging and proudly display him on my desktop, where he can inspire me to draw more hunky big men and to pursue my goals!

Ugh, why are plastic or vinyl statues so costly? I saw a magnificent Batman statue by Andy Kubert today priced around €300. Some online listings show it at €699… I know the original price was €130 in 2016 I know it is a "limited edition" and I technically have the spare money, but I am not spending €300-€700 on a statue even though it is perfect. Batman, all hunky, big boots, big hands, big muscles, a nice pose, a mean-looking masculine face… overall just PERFECT for a Batman fan and muscle art enjoyer like me… So yes, I might save for it with a new savings fund thingy and I cannot guarantee that future art earnings will not go into that category, because I really REALLY want that statue. I am not even a collector; I simply want them because they look good… I even tear them from their original packaging like some monster CUZ I DO NOT CARE FOR COLLECTORS WORTH... XD I want to look at it, touch it, repose it (if it is an action figure); HELL I even play with them when I am bored. I am SOOOOO annoyed with limited editions and artificial scarcity, because I believe it is ultimately BS from brands cuz they just wanna exploit FOMO.
