Pretty sure referees have got his one wrong. The law is that a player whose departure causes uncontested scrums cannot be replaced. You can substitute another player though... The player who got a red card just can't be replaced. Italy should have 14 players still. #IREvITA

Very very exciting and a great platform for women's rugby! The more content that is tailored to the women's game and that puts a spotlight on the players, the easier it becomes to get new players excited about the sport and give them a sense of ownership in rugby.
🏉 You read that right, we're launching a brand new show.... The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby! 🤝 We've teamed up with @allianzuknews to produce a weekly YouTube series hosted by Emily Scarratt and TV presenter journalist Elma Smit. 📹 First show launches on Friday 12th March.

Wales playing very well and have adapted to ref better, but poor from him to restart play after asking Farrell to talk to players, and on the 2nd try, whether it hits leg is irrelevant after LRZ knocks it forward off his hand. Has to regather for it not to be knock-on. #WALvENG

1/3 Lots calling out EJ & players after that loss so a reminder of the last 5 years Other than 99-03 it's the most successful in England Rugby history. 🏆 Grand Slam 🏆🏆🏆 6 Nations 🏆🏆 Triple Crown 🏆 ANC 🥈 World Cup Aus Whitewash Arg Whitewash Won 10 of 11 Autumn Tests

2/3 Not saying there aren't problems that need addressed, but in 2018 when England were well off the pace at breakdown and lacking ideas in attack people called for a change of leadership, turns out EJ knew what he was doing.

3/3 If stripping the game plan back and rebuilding it over time layer by layer allows more young players to come in mid cycle & integrate quickly into the system (like Curry & Underhill did) it bodes well building a team for 2023 and a few poor matches is an acceptable trade off.

What is this new world we live in? France playing breathtaking rugby and look like they could be world beaters for the a long time. England, world class on paper but you can't help but wonder which England team is gonna show up. #GuinnessSixNations #ENGvSCO #ITAvFRA

Nice to see the Organisers of Autumn Nations Cup giving Tier Two Nations like Wales a chance against the top teams.
1/4 This highlights a lot of problems with the development pathway in women's and girls' rugby. I get lots of players join at university who played when they were kids only to quit during their teenage years. The difference in how the game is governed from U13 onwards turns a

Telegraph Sport sifted through the RFU’s rules and regulations in the grassroots game and found a handful of inconsistencies between boys’ and girls’ rugby. telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/…

3/4 From a coaching perspective, due to the current failures of the development pathway, the bulk of rugby players who turn out at university have never played before. Being able to introduce forwards and especially front row players to scrummaging with limitations in place

4/4 increases safety. As players develop and they become more experienced scrummagers, many progress through to play in our 1st team where full laws at the scrum can be played. If all levels used full laws, more teams would not have a suitable front row making scrums uncontested
"There weren't visible female players I could look up to." "I think it's really important to have role models, and that's what we're trying to do." 2019 World Player of the Year, @EmilyScarratt, shares her story of why #IAMENOUGH is so important to rugby 🙌 #GPTonight

Excellent News!
The phased return of community rugby takes the next step from September 1. On to Phase D ⬇️

@canterburyNZ 1/4 Some thoughts from a women’s rugby coach: As one of the largest rugby brands in the world, something as obvious as using both male and female international players to promote your national team-wear should be a given and pledging to do so after the fact

3/4 This means players are forced to purchase men’s or boy’s rugby shorts that rarely fit them properly and comfortably. When it comes to footwear, your “adult boots” are all sold on your website as “Mens” and are only available in UK size 6 and above

4/4 meaning almost 50% of women looking to play rugby and buy boots must buy from the kids range. You have openly acknowledged that a quarter of all rugby players are female and yet you still don’t seem to see them as worthy of catering to in your product lines.

Great news to see @luwrufc alumnus Chantel De Bruin continuing her rugby career with Sale 1861. She'll be a credit to the club.

Did someone from the @Independent forget to proof read? I know @BenWhiteyRef didn't have a great match but this seems to be taking things a bit too far. Not fair on @DylanHartley being cited, and can't believe Slimani wasn't! Farcical!
