I have been continually briefed since early this morning regarding the horrific incident that occurred in New Orleans overnight.
The FBI is taking the lead in the investigation and is investigating this incident as an act of terrorism. I will continue to receive updates throughout the day, and I will have more to say as we have further information to share.
My heart goes out to the victims and their families who were simply trying to celebrate the holiday. There is no justification for violence of any kind, and we will not tolerate any attack on any of our nation's communities.

If we want to overturn Citizens United, someone needs to sue Elon Musk for undue political influence & get it to the Supreme Court. The underpinning of CU was that the SC claimed money does not influence politics. I'm sure @marceelias could make a case that it does.

Anybody remember how unqualified people driven by misinformation tried to tell us how vaccines were harmful and didn't work? This is when the News became misinformation silos influenced by politicians.

Trump reiterated this morning on Meet the Press that he intends to end birthright citizenship. When told the 14th Amendment says all persons born in the US are citizens, he said, “Well, we’re going to have it changed. We have to end it.”

So, let me see if I have this right.. Matt Gaetz resigned from Congress the day before an ethics report about him being a pedophile was to be released, and then he withdrew his name from Cabinet consideration for no apparent “reason”, and now his former colleagues have blocked the release of that report, and the MAGAidiots are in my replies with, “Because he did nothing wrong.”
