First time I’m integrating the anti-bias education goals into a PBL unit (Diversity and Identity #1 and 2). Children created Identity Maps as a way to express their understanding - these will help them to write poetry for their public product (a published book). @ec_pbl – at Los Angeles, CA

Morning Meeting is a great time to introduce students to new #edtech tools! They can test out the tool in a low-stakes environment before using it for an academic activity

We started using @CheqWell today, and I’m super impressed with it! I highly recommend it as a quick daily check in for students for social-emotional well being. The data is laid out nicely on the teacher dashboard as well. Check it out!! ❤️

Giving Ss choice in creating their public products is a great strategy for #PBL in remote learning
“Space science is always a hit with my students, but there was no way I could teach it the way I had in the past in a traditional setting. But I was up for the challenge to try #PBL because I knew.... Check out my article for @PBLWorks pblworks.org/blog/pbl-remote…
Jamboard is an awesome tool but it can be tricky to introduce to Ss. There are some pitfalls (it can sometimes be a free-for-all) so I made this “low-stakes” non-academic activity to introduce Ss (and Ts) to the tool #googlejamboard #jamboard #edtechchat

The way it works is that the T creates sticky notes with Ss names on them. Then, when it’s time to do the activity in class, Ss click on the sticky note that has their name on it. They drag the sticky to either “this” or “that”

I’ve gotten feedback from Ts (and noticed myself in using it w my Ss) that #Jamboard can be hard from a classroom management perspective. Lots of buttons. Easy to delete another Ss work. Etc.
