We went there. Following up our @GenderEquityMed @JAMANetworkOpen multicenter study on gender bias in resident assessment (bit.ly/3lE0koq) we wanted to shine a light on race/ethnicity bias in assessment. Our new paper, out now in @AcadMedJournal (bit.ly/3wGl5Gk)
Out now in @AcadMedJournal: We found race/ethnicity was a significant factor in faculty assessment of resident performance. Our study has generated conversation so let's review the study... bit.ly/3LzXUBD

To be clear…a physician practicing 8 half-days a week, 4hour sessions, in the outpatient clinic (32 hours) generates 64 hours worth of non-face to face. Unsustainable. No wonder our residents are hesitant to enter primary care. #AIMW22 #math

CRT isn't in your kid's classroom. Never has been, isn't now, and wasn't coming. But you know what is in your kid's classroom? Covid. People getting sick. Schools going virtual. Teachers without leave. Since @GovernorKayIvey has beaten CRT, maybe we can move on to real issues now

When a #PCP leaves, pts seek more emergency, specialty, urgent care. Outcomes are worse. We need to look at improving the lives of our #PrimaryCare workforce- put the time and $ to the frontline. #MedTwitter #MedEd

I am an ICU doctor and I can tell you that I think I have made a bigger difference wearing a mask and asking others to do so than by increasing ICU capacity by 5 times. Trust me: it's more effective and sustainable to adhere to these public health measures than to surge ICU beds.

1/To every person who laid in a hospital bed, scared, alone, breathless, proned: I am sorry. To every family member who stood in a parking lot outside a window of a loved one, hoping that they would know you were there: I am sorry.

"we've got insulin everywhere, it's like water." I'm a physician. It's not. Raise your hand if you've admitted a DKA patient who couldn't afford their insulin.

"I BROUGHT BACK BIG 10 FOOTBALL" You know who doesn't give a f*ck? All of the doctors who can't get rapid testing. The teachers who can't get back to school safely. Black Americans worried about their friends & families. The 200,000 people who have died. #Debates2020
