"When I first arrived at @UNLincoln, I barely knew anyone, but stepping outside of my comfort zone & actively seeking connections helped me form a strong network of friends. These relationships have enriched my experience & made my time here more meaningful." news.unl.edu/article/armenda…

This morning, University of Nebraska-Lincoln ROTC cadets and midshipmen and Lincoln-area first responders participated in a memorial stair climb running 2,000-plus stairs, the same total first responders faced 23 years ago on September 11, 2001.

Jeremy is one of Nebraska’s best, brightest and talented young scholars. We are so glad that he has decided to join many other top students in staying home and attending the state’s flagship, Big Ten research university. go.unl.edu/d97n

Outstanding turnout as Monolith cut the ribbon on its expanded headquarters right here in Downtown Lincoln this week. It was great to catch up with so many local and state leaders!

I am pleased that yet another Presidential Scholar, Shrey Agarwal, plans to attend @UNLincoln. The state of Nebraska wins when scholars from within the state choose to stay home. I look forward to welcoming all our new Presidential Scholars this fall. go.unl.edu/s7gm

Many say the Husker community is one of the best things about attending Nebraska. But some arrived on campus with a built-in best friend. Jack Kinney and twin sister Hannah-Kate have celebrated many Husker moments together — from spending their summer as NSE leaders to crossing the stage last weekend. As they enter their next chapter as Husker alumni (and incoming @unlcollegeoflaw students), Jack shared this message 🥹 “My twin sister may be three minutes younger, but she’s actually my role model. If you go to UNL, there’s a good chance you might know her. She does everything — and yet somehow, she does everything well. So being perpetually addressed as, “Hey, Hannah-Kate’s brother, right?” is no slighting in the least. Attending Lincoln together, being Knoll Residence Hall next-door neighbors, working NSE side-by-side, and next year, beginning work toward our law degrees together at UNL ... I owe a huge measure of any success I’ve found to my favorite fellow Husker. Thank you, Hannah-Kate, because there’s no way that I could say it enough.”
