One reason young Canadians are becoming our most politically conservative cohort (and they are; look it up) is because they've all had to interact with an Emily Lowan.
BC Greens MLA-elect Emily Lowan says she's "scared" of what a BC Conservative majority government will do: "We will defend every service they try to cut. We will stand in front of every neighbour they try to scapegoat. We will defend trans rights and DRIPA."

Would some characterize it as: Stupifying or Shocking?
Parliamentary Budget Officer Annette Ryan says the federal government’s growing debt levels are “something to worry about” ahead of Budget 2026.

“You can’t build a provincial economy on whale watching and coffee shops.” We need to be a province that builds, makes and creates. We need a provincial industrial strategy and we need to get serious about the loss of industrial land to real estate speculation. Once industrial land is converted to other uses, it is extraordinarily difficult, if not impossible, to get it back. And without that land, where exactly do we expect the next generation of manufacturers, skilled tradespeople and industrial employers to go? This is one of the most consequential challenges we face in British Columbia, with a lot of damage already done. I hope the new government makes it an urgent priority.
Do you have the video clip where you said "You cannot build an economy on whale watching and coffee shops"? Want to use it for this week's podcast episode. I suspect it'll go viral LOL 📈

I didn’t realize Carney calling Trump to start talks again is perceived as the position of strength now? Fascinating.
Scott Reid on rumours a Canada-U.S. trade deal is close: "I think what we're seeing is voters are telling American leaders, don't do this. Don't screw with Canada. It's not a good idea."

Cool. The BC Cons won. Hope the after parties are fun as everyone involved deserves a break. But the reality is, until I see: > Major Economic Reform > Repealing of DRIPA > A serious crackdown on the CCP influence in the province They are just the NDP going the speed limit.

Mark Carney said Canada needs to "diversify away" from Elon Musk’s Starlink. Meanwhile, taxpayer-backed Telesat booked 15 rocket launches with SpaceX to get off the ground. The U.S. Ambassador @USAmbCanada met with Telesat and laid out the bizarre disconnect 👇

Correct. But it’s one issue for the political environment to change suddenly and be unable to adjust effectively. It’s a whole other to call an election yourself, betting on a foreign leader to help you win and completely wet the bed when voters desire something more.
Bro, your Leader blew a 30 point lead and lost his own seat.

I’ve been sounding the alarm about the Chinese Communist Party and its efforts to interfere in our democracy and undermine Canada’s interests for years. I’ve never cared whether the politicians involved were Conservatives, Liberals or New Democrats. The CCP is an authoritarian regime that does not share our democratic values. Its efforts to cultivate influence in Canada must be confronted, not accommodated, excused or overlooked because of partisan loyalties. This reporting raises serious questions that deserve clear answers. Standing up to the CCP isn’t about being left-wing or right-wing. It’s about standing up for Canada. And when it comes to defending our country, there should be no blue team, red team or orange team. There should only be Team Canada.

The pressure from provinces is increasing on immigration. Let’s see what a potential BC Conservative gov’t does. And we’ll see what’s real and what’s not. But Carney doubling down on immigration could be his Trudeau moment.

TDS is wearing off as a political tool. At least at the Provincial level.
Eby says he regrets not properly informing British Columbians from the jump why he called a snap election: “I should have done a better job of letting them know how stalled out the legislature was.”

I am pleased to have secured additional tariff exemptions products crucial to Maine’s agricultural industries, including blueberry, potato, apple, and seaweed producers. Many of our farmers and growers rely on specialized equipment, packaging materials, and other products from Canada that are either unavailable from American suppliers or cannot be replaced without incurring significant expense. In my repeated conversations with Ambassador Greer, Secretary Lutnick, and other senior Administration officials, I have asked for tariff relief for these important products and I will continue working directly with Administration officials to seek additional relief and encourage a broader trade agreement with Canada, our neighbor, ally, and largest trading partner.

This is exactly what I discussed with @ElevateReport this week (to be released soon). America is the place where innovators like Elon make possible the ideas that 5-10 years ago seemed unthinkable. We're looking for partners who want to move quickly in this competitive market.
