So going to say this once being someone that has interacted with Vtubers past year let get one thing straight half of you are fake and hide behind masks all the time to pretend that Ember being a male is a surprise is funny behavior because the truth is your persona online is nothing like your irl behavior it’s your fault for putting a label on someone and yes I hear my Christian friends going omg Nathaniel bad no you’re wrong because we are supposed to have mercy and be humble and I will not make excuses for Ember but if you watch people because you think they are someone hiding behind an avatar to protect their identity seem hypocritical to me personally so check your spirit and rethink how you approach your online experience some of you are pretty parasocial and kind of weird @ember_paradox

Matt, I understand your perspective, and I don’t disagree that trust matters. If Ember deliberately misled people in private relationships, then those people have every right to feel hurt, and I won’t make excuses for dishonesty But my concern is how quickly people turn situations like this into public ridicule and condemnation. As Christians, we’re called to speak truth, but we’re also called to demonstrate mercy, humility, and grace. Galatians 6:1 tells us to restore someone in a spirit of meekness, not tear them apart for their mistakes. I also think we need to distinguish between playing a VTuber persona and deliberately deceiving someone. Those aren’t necessarily the same thing. i can acknowledge someone’s hurt without joining in the condemnation of another person. And I can defend Ember’s humanity without defending every decision he made accountability and forgiveness are not opposites. We need both. That’s where I stand as a Christian.
