elide ❤️ pkl
I just noticed that elide.dev/ uses Pkl for it's build definitions - very cool! A while back I'd experimented with using Pkl for Gradle build defs and became convinced that Pkl is a fantastic option for declarative config. Glad to see Elide go this route.

AWS Bedrock – data retention mode "none": Docs: "Zero data retention. No request or response data is written to durable storage by AWS" Blog: "We may store and review flagged content ... even when mode is none" Only one of these can be correct.

levels of copium previously unhuffed
Now it’s official. JetBrains remains the last big independent player in developer tooling. Our job is to deliver the most cost-efficient, deeply integrated, and genuinely enjoyable AI experience across our IDEs and beyond. We’re on it. Stay tuned.

New from Jetbrains: It's a markdown file
More IDE tooling for agents!

New from Jetbrains: you can use Windows anywhere you want, for example, on a plane
*whispering* OpenAI models are the best for coding right now. And you can use both OpenAI LLMs and the full Codex agent right inside JetBrains IDEs

accidentally very funny
This. All the Air components are being heavily dogfooded and battletested inside JetBrains.

Dotnet folks, pls check it out, interesting to hear your feedback

"OpenAI/Cursor is very opinionated" yes if the opinion is that you don't need intellij
Vendor agnostic and openness. We are the only big enough player not backed up by Hyperscalers/Labs. Cursor, OpenAI frontier, Copilot are very opinionated systems.

as it turns out, you can spend $168 within a few hours & get tsgo to beat the "$400k" slop rewrite in a mere (+3,905 / −298) don't let anyone tell you engineering is solved folks, clearly throwing tokens at a problem ain't it 😀

Ever heard of dynamic meta-compilation? Truffle uses partial evaluation to turn interpreters into optimized machine code without requiring you to write a compiler. We’ve added docs explaining how it works. Readable by humans, too: github.com/oracle/graal/blob…

Global reset landing tomorrow 10am PST for all paid ChatGPT accounts. Apologies for the slow start with GPT-6.1 Sol, it's now back to running at expected speeds after the massive load spike in the first two days.
