We worked with maintainers, including @tianzhouchen, to build a better way to track GitHub stars over time.
The new API returns daily star counts without exposing who starred a project, making star history easier to retrieve, cheaper to serve, and more private.
Here's how we built it:

Avoid this game like the plague. It's been unplayable for a month. They keep saying hotfix is coming, rolled out a few, nothing fixed. They have clearly given up.

AI HELPED UNCOVER AN XRP LEDGER BUG THAT COULD HAVE CREATED TRILLIONS OF XRP
A security review of the XRP Ledger uncovered a vulnerability hidden in its code for more than a decade.
The flaw involved an arithmetic overflow in the payment engine, potentially allowing a specially constructed transaction to create XRP without proper funding.
Researchers estimated that a single transaction could theoretically have generated around 18 TRILLION UNAUTHORIZED XRP.
An AI-powered security agent helped identify the issue, demonstrating how artificial intelligence is becoming useful for finding weaknesses in blockchain infrastructure.
Developers released a security fix before publicly disclosing the vulnerability.
Importantly, investigators found no evidence that the flaw had been exploited on public networks.
The incident highlights something fundamental about blockchain security.
Even mature networks can contain vulnerabilities that remain unnoticed for years.
And AI may become an increasingly valuable tool for discovering them before attackers do.

It started the container on the old version, ran the upgrade to the new one, and watched the migration fail, all on its own.
That turned up the real error, and it shipped a hotfix.
