Q: Did you meet with Putin's envoy who was here today? TRUMP: I did, yeah Q: What did you discuss? TRUMP: I can't tell you what we discussed, but there's going to be a big agreement and it's going to involve more than Ukraine. I could even say it might involve all of Europe.

this is why I love working at @VanityFair yesterday, I saw half our staff clustered around our fashion correspondent's desk poring over this photo. As JosΓ© puts it, "The image has several discrepancies. The style and make of the Chanel Flap bag is inconsistent with others the brand has sold, and the Valentino shoes in question appear askew in proportion; their straps have several punched holes that the authentic Valentino style does not." AI image detectors confirmed that yes, Olivia Reingold used an AI-generated image to make her point, without a drop of disclosure. Wild!!!! vanityfair.com/story/midterm…
So far at Abdul El-Sayed’s election night event I’ve spotted, Valentino heels, a Chanel bag, a Moncler jacket, Rolex watches, and a YSL bag among other designer items.

We are mobilising Belarusians across Europe to help Ukraine withstand Russia’s winter assault. Belarusian democratic forces have joined international fundraising and aid campaigns to help keep Ukrainian homes warm and hospitals running. Our volunteers and communities will raise funds, collect supplies and deliver assistance. Russia is intensifying its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Putin wants millions of Ukrainians to spend another winter in darkness and cold. He is counting on their suffering and our fatigue. We must not let him succeed. I call on our partners, governments, businesses and everyone who can help to act now. Ukraine needs stronger air defence, generators, mobile boilers and heating equipment. We cannot wait until hospitals lose power and families are freezing. Every delayed delivery can cost lives. We have stood with Ukraine from the very beginning, and we will continue to do so. Because Ukraine’s victory is also our hope for a free Belarus.

Canada has just 7 days left to prevent Ovechkinβ€”a supporter of murderers, terrorists, and criminalsβ€”from appearing publicly on its soil (on @NHL ice) and promoting Russia’s imperialist war. Are πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ lawmakers indifferent to the fact that this promotion will cost many human lives?

Search and rescue operations in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, have entered their third day. As of November 4, 37 people have been confirmed dead following a Russian attack. Another 58 people are reported missing. This is an act of Russian terror against civilians. Rescuers continue working around the clock at the site of the attack, while teams from @WCKitchen , founded by our ambassador @chefjoseandres , have delivered hot meals to support their efforts. We are deeply grateful to JosΓ© AndrΓ©s and the entire World Central Kitchen team for their solidarity, compassion, and continued support for Ukraine. Thank you for standing with the Ukrainian people, even in the most difficult moments.

Pope Leo XIV met with American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan in a private audience on Wednesday, November 4. The Vatican press said that during the brief meeting between the two, the Holy Father presented the singer with a rosary, while Dylan reciprocated with a copy of his book. Leo, originally from Chicago, is a known fan and quoted a 1963 anti-nuclear protest song by Dylan, "Go Away You Bomb," in the preface to a book released in July.

πŸ’” Don’t stop talking about Komyshuvakha! We all saw the ruins of an underground school in Komyshuvakha that Russia struck with 9 guided aerial bombs while people were gathered there to receive humanitarian aid. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ This is what the school looked like just over a year ago, when it opened its doors for the first time. πŸ”½ The school was built on the grounds of the Komyshuva Gymnasium β€œDzherelo,” which was destroyed by Russian forces in July 2023. On the first day of classes, Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy, Denys Uliutin, visited the school and personally inspected how well it met the principles of accessibility, safety, and inclusivity. He stated that day: β€œThe UN Convention on the Rights of the Child guarantees every child the right to education. Even amid the war, as Russia destroys childhoods, Ukraine, with the support of international partners, is ensuring that these rights are upheld. Thanks to safe educational spaces, children can interact, learn, and develop. This is the foundation of our future.” Ivan Fedorov, head of Ukraine’s State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, said today that some Russian aerial bombs weighed three tons and had three times the destructive power of a ballistic missile β€” something underground schools in Ukraine are not designed to withstand in a direct hit. 33 people were killed, and more than 50 others may still be trapped under the rubble.
